The New Snark Thread

I knew absolutely nothing about this aircraft, until one Saturday while Obama was still in office.
That day, my supervisor showed up on Saturday, which, in and of itself, was exceedingly odd. I parked in my usual spot and was getting out of my truck.
....We reside in the shadow of a major, international airport. Hearing 747's, even now becoming rare, is not unusual. I can tell them by engine noise. I can also tell a Huey helicopter miles away! (Helicopter base was my home for many months!)...
But, this particular Saturday, I heard the LOUDEST, LOWEST, GAWDAWEFULLEST DRONE OF ENGINE NOISE, I'ld ever heard. My supervisor was moving from his truck to the garage, he did not seem to notice. I DID!! I locked eyes on this "thing", 6 engines, bigger than any military cargo jet I ever saw in four years active, more landing gear than a house mover!! What in the ever-loving-atmosphere was I looking at?!?
Later at home, I looked up large military aircraft, and I discovered video of the very plane.
The Anatov AN-225, evidently, the only one of its kind. I've learned it has since been destroyed in the Ukraine war.
The videos don't do justice to the engine drone, INCREDIBLY LOUD!!!! And the size of that beast, was, astounding!!!

What's you obsession with a new Snark thread.?... You keep bringing this up over and over... This is a quick scan in this thread alone

Spring is bustin' down the doors!! We will be pushing close to the 90 mark come the new week.
I need more spring cool weather......

it's only 4 months old - so plenty of time to get there.
of course, camping season has started, so folks should be posting more...

I haven't worked on a knife since January, but the time is coming. I have, however, made progress on marking my fuzz pedal enclosures. Here's one of the most recent Sea Beard Ocean State Fuzz enclosures from messing around this weekend:

Oh yeah, I watched that interview. What a goofball, he's a lot of fun.
The all-in-one is great if you never want to switch things around! (or mod or build them from scratch!)

I spent the whole morning refining brackets to mount a tow bar to the front of a modified Ford Raptor. The short synopsis went something like, measure, mark, cut, grind, sand, drill, deburr, redrill, test fit, tack weld, refit, weld out, rerefit, regrind, refit, test fit, regrind, recut, sand, etc., etc., etc.
Oh look, I'm late for lunch, hmmm....
... by the end of the day, the 2 guys actually installing them were almost getting them stuffed into the front of the frame rails, never to be seen in daylight again, presumably.

I just got a new daypack! Custom from a dude who used to be my neighbor. I had been dragging my feet on asking him to make one when he had to up and move his family for his wife's work. He's a retired army ranger, IIRC. Anyway, I'm looking for suggestions for a ride-along external water bottle carrier and/or internal organizer ideas. Bonus if it's made domestically.

I've been cleaning out the old pack which never lost it's rotten plastic stink. Tossed it in one of the trashbags I used to keep in the pack itself.
