The New Snark

I took to tools, cars, etc when I was pretty young, but never really had anyone around to show me how to use them. It took some trial and error to learn how to do some things, but I picked it up fairly well and actually worked as a snowmobile mechanic in the winters during my late teens and early 20's. I watched a lot of shows like Shadetree Mechanic and Hotrod TV which I actually learned quite a bit from. Your boy will have a life full of enjoyment or even employment from the things you are teaching him now.

On another note...

^^^ Speechless

I believe I may have lost a knife for my first time. When we went to my nieces graduation at the end of May I remember breaking the pocket clip and that it made it back to town with us, but I can't for the life of me figure out where it ended up. I've been racking my brain and going through stuff trying to find it to no avail. It's a Spyderco Sage1 that I've had for quite a while and carried the heck out of. It really became one of my favorite knives, so I might have to get my hands on one again soon.

As soon as you get another one, the missing one will show up. I misplaced my BK-11 last week. Could find it anywhere. Knowing it would show up eventually, I went ahead and broke out another 11 that I had picked up to be a Christmas gift for my newest nephew-in-law. 2 days later, I found the old 11 in a box of stuff that had migrated to the house back out to the shop/gardening shed/tool shed/equipment barn.

So my quandry now is
1) do I just put the 11 back in the box and act like it's new? I only used it to cut open some boxes.
2) do I keep using it and buy another?

They always show up after you get another. I have tons of good folders, so I don't "need" another, but I sure do want one. Maybe I'll get a Sage2 that is a ti frame lock instead of another Sage1 which is a liner lock with carbon fiber scales.

Crap!!! I just paid for 175 gallons of diesel and handed the clerk my bank card instead of my fuel card!!!

I dont even know why it was approved. My checking acct that the card is attached to didn't have quite enough to cover it. I got it refunded, so I will have to see how the refund and charge hir my acct. Hopefully I avoid any bank fees.

DAMN AC! Good luck man! That... well... DAMN! I can't imagine having a vehicle that can even HOLD 175 gallons of diesel!

It got refunded by the truck stop?

If so call the bank in the morning and warn them about what happened. They will be able to watch the account and reverse the fees IF it does go through.

Diesel out there is about 30 cents a gallon higher than here it looks like. Out here it's 3.52 today. Still, that is ridiculous! I hope it works out for you man!

Yeah. The truckstop refunded it. I think I covered my butt. I transferred some money from savings to cover how much overdrawn it would be, but if the bank goes by time stamp I may be sol. I'll call them in the morning for sure.
