I'm sure we'll get specs for the pre-order. I don't think they'll do the typical Busse thing of "Here's a new knife pictured at a weird angle, so you can't make out the proportions, and with no information on the weight, POB or BTE thickness. Please plunk down several $100 to buy it."

Preorders are nice. You can lightning-finger it, but all that matters is that you get in, because the order fulfillment depends mainly on what you want to order, and you have all weekend to get in on the preorder usually, and all weekend to decide what you want until Jo gets around to invoicing you usually early the following week. I'm going to be in on the preorder, but I may change what I actually order depending on what the DEK2 and DEK3 end up looking like. I really liked the DEK1, but ended up not keeping any of them. But a Magnacut one is calling my name.

Nathan the Machinist if MagnaCut has not been stainless 4V so far, can ve have hard and thin DEK in 4V option in this preorder?

Nathan the Machinist I just saw the original thread mentioned CruWear. That would be good too. Actually would prefer it over 4V and 3V as it seems to offer a combination of good properties of both. A thin (10 tho or less BTE) and 61.5-62 HRC would make a nice user (not abuser) DEK1/3.

I'm sure there both going to be kickass knives !... what I'm hoping to see is the dek2
With a swedge or optional full double edge grind and the optional double edge point and Penetrator tip !... in buffed double black micarta and the blue color heated ti fasteners would look awesome and would match my UF2 that has that exact same handle scales and hardware !...
