On the flip-side, this format seems to be working much better for people like myself than the 'other' option I was looking at the time with so many missed delivery dates I gave up! In the end, my CPK was definitely worth the effort, and my frustration at getting an order slot at times!

Quality and performance like my CPK has is definitely worth the effort to get one IMHO!

That's what the pre-orders are for. We can get a great knife or knives how we want it/them and don't have to compete against the wealthy people. But wealthy people nearly always have the advantage. :)

Is that a thing? I’ve always gotten a forum buddy to proxy for me. Working 12 hr days doesn’t allow me to be available for those sales. I’ve scored a few this way from my CPK brethren here.

That's a good way to do it if there isn't something special being offered that they all would want. We are fixing to get into trouble...

Maybe if no one is supposed to post their thoughts on this thread, it should just be locked to Nathan's announcement posts, since apparently a ton of people are (for some reason which eludes me) watching this thread for announcements of sales whose timing is almost completely predictable (when was the last one that wasn't on Friday at 3 PM ET?). My apologies to all of you watching this thread that just got alerted to this post which is not an announcement of the Next Sale. 🤷‍♂️
 
I feel like such a diggler for even asking. Today is my birthday and I’m going to try my damndest to get a CPK from the sale to celebrate. I’ve struck out every sale for 7 months… I know, you all are crying for me.

If I strike out again and someone gets in and wants to graciously pay it forward, I would be in your debt.

It will come with first shot at an EDC2 or a DEK1 (at a great price) I’m planning to sell when I get a new CPK to fill the void in my safe and heart.

Thanks for listening to my birthday sob story!
