15, pick your own. Mixed inventory sale. Friday 13th

Out in the main sale area here: https://www.bladeforums.com/forums/for-sale-fixed-blades.754/

Sale is at 3:00 eastern time.

^ Jo, Bo, Mark, Ben and I hope to see you there.
I'm new here but have desperately wanted one of the DEK1 for a while now. I'd like to try and participate in the sale next Friday. Will it be apparent where to post? Sorry for the newb question but I want to make sure I'm looking in the right place and I'm not tech savvy at all.

Click the link that Nathan posts at the beginning of this thread. It’ll take you to the appropriate sub-forum so you’ll know where to go.

In there Nathan will start a thread on the sale date that looks something like this:

Thank you! So I assume people are talking about refreshing their browser while sitting on that main sale page for Nathan to put up the post?
That’s correct.

We’re really not supposed to chat on this thread, but I can’t PM you.

Be ready to refresh at 3:00 pm sharp and make your post quick (typically just a letter or whatever you can hit in a split second) to secure your spot.

Yep, open the forum to that page and start endlessly hitting refresh until Nathan's post shows up, then claim what you want fast with a simple post like "Kephart please!". Then follow up with Jo for scale options and such off-line. Popular knives are often gone in ~30 seconds so, don't dilly dally!

Thanks for the feedback. I was reading that some guys just post like one letter or something just to get there post up then go back in and add what they are actually interested in is this true?

That's possible but, I would just load my clipboard with the text and paste it and then hit SUBMIT/POST and be done without any additional edits.

Yo no chat here homies

Blues Blues is always watching!

Gotta link for that? TIA!

Why can't we answer questions on this thread? Did Nathan say we shouldn't?

You can answer questions here. I appreciate it. I just don't want a lot of off topic chatter here because there are people who follow this thread for information and things can go off the rails.

Yes, de-railed threads and posts are bad in threads like this.

Personally, a lottery after a period of time, like 15 minutes, would be nicer than the race I had to participate in many times to get my knife. While it is great for building buzz, it is also frustrating for people like myself who can't sit by a computer with a solid internet connection constantly hitting refresh.

On the flip-side, this format seems to be working much better for people like myself than the 'other' option I was looking at the time with so many missed delivery dates I gave up! In the end, my CPK was definitely worth the effort, and my frustration at getting an order slot at times!

Quality and performance like my CPK has is definitely worth the effort to get one IMHO!
