Is there a special time the Friday sale normally takes place? I'm new to this forum and would love to get my hands on that camo micarta.

3:00 EST

And there are 15 this time (I'm trying spacing them out every two weeks) so hopefully it won't be an insane rush like they have been recently. :thumbup:

I'm not sure that's going to be enough. I just went over there and there are 36 members and 26 guests in that forum right now. I see a lot of familiar faces over there.

Use Tapatalk, it is faster as it gives you a push notice of a new thread so you don't have to guess on the refresh, and you can cheat the forum rules by posting fewer characters than are required to do via the forums. Impossible to beat a fast tapatalk user with a computer.

That's why the fast guys on tapatalk post Ppp or similar then change their post. Smaller packet to process I guess. At some point if demand keeps up like it is, tapatalk will be the only way to win!

Proximity to the bladeforums servers also can play a part. I'm 12 'hops' away which makes me thing the servers are Chicago based. I've come in 1st and 3rd on the two times I've tried with a computer. That also would help explain why two people from IL and one from WI are in the first 5 posts.
 
No love for the Camo? I think that's my 2nd favorite tie with that maroon one. If no preorder thread any time soon, I will have to get into the action again to try to score that one the next time around.

I can get in the top ten, but I get smoked in the single or 5-blade sales. You might be right about this.

I'm on the west coast of Canada, and normally am very high in the order. I use manual refresh and normally get in pretty fast, but since the new servers went in it takes a second or two of Chrome "thinking" before it posts my post. Previous to the migration to these servers, the connection was WAY faster. I would normally have my post up in a small fraction of the time it takes to get the processing part over now.

I do think you are right, as it's probably not a coincidence that the post order is almost exactly geographically based.

That camo one is my favorite. Reminds me of a rattlesnake. Not sure how I'd feel about it on a bigger knife, but it's pretty sexy on that EDC. :)
