Well, maybe it is reaching saturation level on the LC, but I doubt it. Kinda slow today though! Congrats to those who scored.
 
Wow that was a rather mellow sale lasted minutes not seconds , I am waiting for the SK !!!
 
Grats you guys who got a LC. It's nice to see the sale lasted 2 whole minutes. Finally some sanity.

Though I don't think the FK nor the EDC will be the same, not for some time anyways!
 
Shoot. I just figured they'd be gone in a few seconds again and ignored my '1:55 Check for CPK Sale' alarm set on my phone.

We figured that would be the case as the list opened, but turned out not to be. They still sold out in seconds.

Now that Nathan announced the FK will be retired I am pretty sure they will sell quick. Summon your inner keyboard-jitsu spirit. Lorien has some spirit beads if you need them.

So basically it's impossible to get one unless you sit on the computer and get super lucky huh? Why oh why must I like knives that are so hard to get?!
 
^ I wouldn't say it's impossible. There is a sale on Fridays at 3:00 EST. The time is very consistent, no need to sit on the computer any length of time. Last week's sale lasted two minutes, not much luck required. The pre order sale was open more than a month. I think it's getting easier for folks to get the gear. But, it is just me and Jo right now, so our output is limited.
 
So I just want to make sure I understand this process. At 3PM a new thread will be started in the fixed blades for sale section. When this new thread appears I then have approx 15 seconds to post "I'll take one" and become one of the lucky owners of a Carothers Custom Field Knife. I guess what I am trying to clarify is that a new thread is started for every sale?

I would wager you have less than 15 seconds to post. But yes, all that is correct.

You can post something like aaaaa minimum 5 characters from a computer and then edit your post after. That would be faster than trying to paste the whole thing, or paste aaaaa. You are also closer than most to the servers, so you should have no problem with your post appearing in the top 10 if you can post within a few seconds. Lots of ways to skin a cat.

Are you going for one? I hope so! This would be a great knife for your wood handles. At least that is my opinion! Not that there is a bad knife for them, but with the locating pins, you will be able to get a perfect fit that won't take a bunch of fiddling to replicate. I think you will need a G10 liner on there, but I really hope you get a FK.

Ayup, just took a look at the Friday's sales thread. Counted at least 5 of the Usual Suspects in the winners circle! Congrats to everyone who scored, including the lucky proxies ;)
