The NEXT SALE

Considering that so many people, especially new, don't fully read content that's presented to them, might it be better to avoid what could be taken as misleading content? Just sayin. Or am I missing something?

A sense of humor, perhaps?

WTLJ was just having a bit of fun.
Personally, I'm anxious for the first run of SK's!
Good luck to all those participating in the next sale!

Definitely a good comeback.:D

Edit: Yet still, I don't think it hurts when we're reminded of the unintended consequences of comments each of us is probably guilty of making, when taken out of context. Certainly no big deal.

Anybody willing/able to proxy for me this Friday (Jan 20).
Still trying to get a field knife for a friend; and, when I've been available to try, I've still never been even close to fast enough. PM or email (redacted)

I might have already asked this. But how do I make (try to make) a knife purchase? Do I go to the sale thread at 3pm sharpe and just post a "I will take one"? Is it just that the first "I will take one" posts lock the buyer in to one?

If there are 30 available you have to be one of the first 30 individuals to reply to buy. Sounds simple doesn't it. Good luck to you, sir!

We're going to have 20 3" EDC today. These will be in the regular Delta 3V.

We'll have another sale of EDC in a couple weeks in D2. The D2 has very good edge retention and has received an optimized heat treat. It's an ideal alloy for skinning game. It will be a little more affordable too.

I'm going to try for one of these today. I've been wanting one for a while so hopefully I'm quick enough.

Any antique micarta today?

Folder Geek:

Follow this link to familiarize yourself with past sales, pricing, etc...

The 20 EDCs will probably be sold under 30 seconds flat as soon as Nathan posts the FS link in the same sub forum at 3 PM EASTERN time (knife maker fixed blade) as this older sales' link. No preview so if you aspire to snag one, you must have a strong game (not shilling for CPK, just stating some facts as evident by the dizzying demand):

On the sale today couple questions.
What's gonna be the price?
Will there be a preview?
Cheers

Sometimes the sale threads move pretty briskly and there isn't always a lot of time to read the information in them. You may want to take a look at this old sale thread for pictures and other information:

Is it possible to buy without a sheath?

Sorry, no. We generally don't like sending knives out without a sheath.

I attest to this. In the past, I bought a few when they used to offer W/O sheath option and when I had decided to sell off the surplus CPKs recently because of change of plans and just wishing to stick with black handle scales, I found out that in no way I could ship them out as stoutly and professional as Jo had originally packaged them. Judging by the feedback from the Gents who have already received them, I must have done a decent enough job, but it's a dicey affair trying to ship out extremely sharp knives that Mr. & Mrs. Carothers produce without some degree of trepidation in case they become loose and move around in their boxes!!!

When did the OP get updated to indicate today's sale? I definitely would have jumped in to try for one had there been more notice.

Yesterday, I believe. It was posted on the facebook page about a week ago.
