That is rockin'! I sort of wish I would have gotten a 4" to go along with my 5".

I almost didn't order these knives but after looking at a few knives that Nick had made in the past I just had to have one or two...
I emailed Nick and asked him if I could send him some wood for one of the knives and he graciously agreed. I am a cabinet maker and the quality of the wood means a lot to me on knives.
I didn'y really expect to recieve these before x-mas as I saw how many knives Nick had to make. To say I am pleasently surprized is an understatement of gigantic proportions. These are gorgeous! His execution of this is very very nice. The knife feels solid in your hand. Ergonomically the feel awesome in hand. I am so very pleased with these. Thank you Nick, I am already thinking of my second order.

Cheers everybody,
Kelly

what kind of wood is that.... looks like ironwood or bocate...

Kelly, all I can add is, you should have sent him enough for two :)

I had ToatallyJudy's for a while (sheathing it); hers was done in some primo bocote that Nick had, and it was awesome!!

Wow, that ironwood is amazing! Nice set you have too, it's like a field grade and a collector grade. :D Nick has really out done himself on these knives, just too awesome!

Thanks for posting Kelly, and I'm truly happy you like them. You really know how to take some good photos:thumbup:. No matter how hard I try, my pics, never come out that clear. That was the first time I ever worked with Ironwood, and i would love to get my hands on some more.

Thanks again
Nick:)

You will get a chance my freind. I am going to need a couple more knives from you so when I do I will send you some even nicer stuff I have stashed away. :D

Nick, I think its time for you to get a website Bro. ;) I posted these in the General Gallery as well.

Too bad we didn't pick up any of that Mammoth Ivory in Portland, huh? This is the one blade design I can envision exotic handles on and still use it.

I did pick up some very cool Giraffe bone when you where coonfingering those silly Busse knives and have some other Mammoth here. I think I would use Giraffe on a user because it is so tough. Mammoth I'mm not sure if I would or not. It would most likely be fine I suppose.

I haven't used this one yet. Nothing to cut except snow and Ice right now. :D Its a little chilly out right now. It hasn't stopped snowing since yesterday.

My buddy wanted to go ice fishing but I always get frustrated trying to cast my fly into that little hole. :D:foot:;)

I wonder is it to late to jump on the list? I tried to email nick but I think my email is acting up when I try to contact him through here.
