  • Best Production Fixed Blade - Fällkniven S1. I'm not sure it is issued during this year but it became available in my country (and seems in the rest of Europe) this year.
  • Best Production Folder - BENCHMADE Model 940 Osborne.
  • Best Production Auto - I do not have a liking for automatics so I'll leave these selections blank.
  • Best Production Small Utility Fixed Blade - BENCHMADE Nimravus Cub in M-2 steel. It was catalogued in 1999 as new but became really available in Europe just this year.
  • Most Innovative Production Fixed Blade - SOG X-42 Recondo.
  • Most Innovative Production Folder - KERSHAW Boa.
  • Most Innovative Automatic Knife
  • Best Buy: Production Fixed Blade - SPYDERCO Bill Moran Featherweight. This is not new knife but the newest edition with traditionally beveled edge and Concealex sheath appeared this year, so formally I have right to mention it here

  • Best QC (Quality Control) - BENCHMADE. Believe me or not but I really have no one quality problem with their knives and I gain confidence to consider them as Mercedes among knife manufacturers.
  • Overall Knife Manufacturer of the Year - SPYDERCO. I like a lot their continuos search for innovations. Some their news I do like more and some another less but I'm sure without this search world's knife supply could become quite boring within very short time.
  • Best Multitool - SPYDERCO SpydeRench
  • Best Kitchen Knives - Fällkniven K1 and K2 (to be reviewed soon).
  • Best Sheath System: After Market

Best Production Small Utility Fixed Blade = Fällkniven H1 (could be also in Best Production Fixed Blade -category)
Best Buy: Production Fixed Blade = Anything from J.Martiini. (can't name any, since I don't know what models have been introduced last year..)
Best Buy: Production Folder = Klötzli M.Walker plain edge wharncliffe (I'm not sure when this was out, but at least the plain edge versions I saw only in the end of last year...)
Best Buy: Production Auto = MT UDT
Best QC (Quality Control) = Klötzli (also CRK is probably still as good as it was before but I didn't get anything from them last year...)
Overall Knife Manufacturer of the Year = William Henry (Good enough quality, very good designs, and not too high prices)
