WTF have you been doing? Been at a ghey rave?:D JK Have a big event happening in my family tommarow so pretty lit and preparing for the eventual nuttery. I heard Miller waters down their beer and its what I mostly drink and judging by today having 14 IPA beers would have to agree cause pretty smashed off of 12 Summit (was really smashed around 5to point of sleeping) off those plus 3-4 ice compared to 20+ Ice beers which is the usual. Took a pic with some sydies tonight W/beer but no BK's. :oWill get soemthing up over the weekend though.

beer store? SWMBO saw then and decided that's what she wanted, so I bought them for her.

I was crazy tired...and realized no knife after I took pic. I'm at home, though; so there are plenty close at hand - trust me. Just imagine a shiny grey Blackjack Becker Brute next to that glass. I'll make sure I include 2 BKs next time.

Fixed (I felt obligated to pour another glass to correct my slip)

No pics, but I had whiskey - in the form of my namesake: Bailey's - if that counts. That's about it for me and booze. Though I do have a bottle of rum from the Sea Hagg distillery for the future....

I got the blueberry you can see at the left. Mixed with some mango lemonade, it's liquid panty dropper. Saving it for when I have someone's panties I want to get dropped. Might stay on the shelf for a while .

Two of my favorites. I seriously love good rum. Seriously. Bourbon has been a more recent interest and is becoming a very, very close second.

Hhmoore, what is the story behind those awesome gray blades?

Granite, nice set up!

Thanks, but that was at the distillery....although they make excellent rum from what I've been told, and tasted - though I'm almost always a beer drinker.

Cool to see the Appleton bottle. I visited the Appleton Estate when I was in Jamaica - 40 years ago. I do remember my grandmother and my dad getting a "tiger in the tank" - fresh coconut with the top lopped off, Appleton rum poured in and a straw. Kinda funny riding through the place on the tour wagon with my dad and his MIL drinking out of coconuts.

As I recall, it began "It was a dark and stormy night..."

(I can't help but wonder how few will actually get that, lol)
On a more serious note, I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. Both are Blackjack BKs, and both are sterile blades with a grey coating. The coating on the Brute is much different, though - smooth & somewhat shiny, looking a lot like paint. I was familiar with the finish on the 2; but surprised by the look of the Brute...enough so that I contacted Bladite to ask about it. He affirmed that, once upon a time, the Blackjacks were finished that way. I'm guessing that it probably isn't pretty underneath, though, since he advised against stripping it.
