The official collection thread

My "cute lil blade" collection. I love a full sized knife, but sometimes things call for something smaller.

The dragonfly is my favorite and my almost constant edc. I've really enjoyed the Kershaw decoy. Pretty fun to flip and I enjoyed getting the hang of the top flipper. Also has a pair of tweezer clips that lock shut if there's anything small one needs clamped in there. Case toothpick is a classic and the Gerber utility razor gave me razor edges when I needed them before I learned to sharpen. The sog bluto looks cool, but kinda sucks for use. The money clip knife is an old cheapo that has stood the test of time. Lots of nostalgic value, my first small blade and waves open.

I found a little time this afternoon as the light from a nice day waned to shoot these pics on the big oak stump out by by the shed. Like the old "two tie/all tie" four-ball golf format--but in this case it's two ti slabs each on all these titanium knives.

I don't "collect" so much as I "accumulate", but I do have a few recent theme group photos:

Spyderco PM2s- all of these are carried and used:

I don't have a lot but I have a few Cold Steel knives, at least enough to qualify as a "Collection" :) I'll have to put 'em together for a family photo.

That's what I'm talkin' about, collective creativity. ;)

Spyderco offers a lot of sub sets like only Spyderco/Collaboration or FRN only, all stainless, all aluminum, all one color... ;)

Well, this one doesn't show any creativity on my part, but they were all beautifully created in Mother Russia and one received creative mods from Eric at Shepherd CC.

In the lower photo from top to bottom:

95T (as in Turtle) in M390
Tabargan 100NS, M390 with custom marbled CF scales and back-spacer
111 CF, M390 with fuller
F3, S30V in Python Micarta

Ill post these over at the Bears' Den Thread too. Come on over and Show Us Your Shiros if you got 'em.

I love them 303s, Clay... do you spin them on their backs? The 303 is one of, if not the most balanced knife out there. Blades closed, blades open, just one blade open. The curve of the back spring along with the even weight distribution allows it to spin in optimum conditions for 10-20 seconds. We used to use it to make a spinner when we didn't have one or if we were missing dice. Draw a circle on a piece of paper or paper plate and divide it into however many sections you want.

Am I the only one who spins them? :)

lol I thought I was the only one! I can't tell you how often I catch myself at my work bench spinning my knife while rewiring/rebuilding a fixture ... makes my coworkers crazy!
Just another in the growing list of reasons that the 303 is my favorite knife!
