The Official Lanyard Thread

Do I add another diamond knot after the snake knot or call it a day? Too many options.

I like this method because it prevents the skull or bead from damaging the handle. And it is thick and short enough to actually use.

So I went with one more diamond knot to end it and might melt off the loose ends later. Im picky regarding lanyards, but I like this one alot. Inspired by my buddy Gary.

It will just take some extra time and patience to get the diamond and snake knots so close and tight. Allowing this design . Which also prevents the lanyard from getting in front of the grip or "blade travel." Shown in the second photo..

I’d recommend doing a whipping knot close to the handle and that way it won’t allow the cord to get in harms way
And you can start the first diamond knot further out to make it a bit handier

I've been waiting for a recent paracord order to finish up the lanyard on my new Cheburkov Scout. I had order the Delrin Suppressor bead from Maverick Workshop and temp tied it up with some 550 King Tut, but it was a bad color match and the two crown and diamond knots were smaller than the bead. This 550 Desert Tan came cheap and is kinda funny--sorta lumpy and almost like it's been pre-gutted--but it is nice and slack and the color's ok. I surrounded it with two False Turk's Heads (AKA diamond knots) and like it better now.

Edit: I shot this inside the window and the sun popped out just as I snapped the pics. The cord looks more washed out than its actual color, which is definitely more tan than the almost-white it appears here, despite my playing with the saturation after the fact.

Well, I did like the above lanyard better than the temp one I had on there before, but the more I handled it the less I liked it. That light tan paracord was way too funky and started to look like just a dirty string. The Maverick Workshop Supressor bead is kinda cool, but not the match for the knife that I'd hoped.

I got two Ultem beads from Inspiribomb Inspiribomb and put the matte one my HalfTrack. The polished one came tied up on a very nice lanyard which I put on my 0562 and, much as I didn't want to undo the nice complimentary bonus, I figured that bead would go great on the Cheburkov, so I matched it up with some sliver and black 550 and a pair of extended crown and diamond knots. I'm liking the result a lot.

Here's the KnifeWorks exclusive 551-1702 Grip with an M390 blade and paper Micarta scales. The knife is all back and silver including stainless standoffs with a nice matte luster. I kept the same theme with black 550 cord tied in triple snake knots surrounding a simple matte ti bead. Understated all the way, this is one solid, utilitarian knife.

Best option with large lanyard bead or skull.
Snake lanyard x3, diamond knot, skull and a final diamond knot.

Prevents any contact with the handle. Boy. It's nice to have some time on my hands for the past month!

I’m just getting into modern folders. I like lanyards and I made a few with Paracord using Snake knots. Easy to make check YouTube.

I found cheap beads at my local craft store just as an FYI.
