The Official Lanyard Thread

On my lanyard for my Rough Ryder slip joint I added a neat small bead at the end of the snake knots, the bead is just the right size that the melted ends of the paracord are wide enough so that it doesn't fall off but you can pull it off if you wanted to. A nice little accent piece I thought :)
and this paracord colour is becoming one of my favourites, I guess too much black paracord makes anything else look better ;)

Diamond and snake knots make for a great combo. My old man likes it.

Got this diamond and snake knot combo idea from our friend Gary Graley. Takes a bit of effort to adjust the placement of the diamond knot, but it’s definitely satisfying to pull off. You just need to track where the slack goes and pull up or down as needed.

I picked up a REX 45 Native Chief this week and got around to adding a tail today. I had this brass Spydie bead in the drawer which is not the best match for the knife but figured I'd give it a go tied up with some 550 Moonglow sandwiched in the middle of six snake knots.

Nice looking work guys.

I am still liking this combination of knots for my folders, I've since added that small bead that just hangs around, not really locked in place, a very strong pull you could remove it, but in normal carry it isn't going anywhere.

This is the combination I’ve been using most lately, too. I like that I have the grab of the diamond knot if needed, but visually I prefer that it tapers down slimmer toward the end with the snake knots.
