The Official Lanyard Thread

Another alternative to lanyard is zipper pulls. Simpler/easier to remove pop out lock. Although its cool to learn how to tie all those paracord knots but its more of hassle remove.
Bought these zipper pulls $2 shipped for my spyderco manbug. Previously used nite ize sbiner#1 it good clip to keys but i find the metal didnt bend like cord plus it would also ruin the lanyard hole.

This is a wide diamond knot but just part of it, but it does make it a good size to hook with my pinky to draw the knife out. The skull bead is well done and one of my favourite ones. The paracord used is from Werewolves, 700lb and is what they call their Bronze, it's pretty ;)

ChazzyP ChazzyP thank you for taking the time to write that! I want to get better at tying them and that is all very helpful, going to keep practicing and see how it goes. Going to order some new cord as well, I untied the ones I already did and tried working them straight, but I think it's a lost cause with this one, it's just too old and doesn't want to stay straight
And thank you to all of you for your opinions on it, one reason I like these forums so much is because everyone is just helpful and not rude when someone is new or learning
It can take time. I learned on Youtube. There are great videos. I would go step by step pausing/rewinding the video until I got it right.

Found a fitting bead to go on my new SAK (scale swap from "My First Victorinox" to a Bantam). Just so happens that it is from a maker local to me as well.

Still waiting for the new cord go show up but been practicing with the old stuff for now. Starting to get it more and tighter but with this cord it's just hard to snug dow. Gary's video was was a huge help, I'd highly recommend for anyone learning, he also had a much better way to tie the snake then the one I was doing. The way I learned had the knot tying up high on the rope and then had to work it down and snug, with Gary's way the knot gets tied right at the top of the previous one and made it much easier. Will see how it goes when ghe new cord gets here 😄

Thanks yep the other one is one I came up with and like it as well, but the one above I picked up from the movie Equalizer

my saying I think would make a good T-Shirt

“Don’t let your learning Curve turn into a Circle”
