Now that's an interesting pocket sheath..

Nice, glad it arrived safely and quickly.

Word of note, he wanted to be able to hang this in his workshop so the request was for a lanyard that ended with a loop, here you can see that the side of the loop has a weld on it. To create that, I cut out a bit of the inner strands and widened the outer sleeve and then melted the other end and plunged it into the widened opening which then melted to the inner part of the section. I tried to put a whipping knot over it but with the crown of the weld area it didn't come off looking very good so I left it off. The resulting welded area is fairly strong and I warned him that it wouldn't hold his weight if he used it for climbing, but for hanging the knife it is plenty strong enough.
;)
And David Mary David Mary knife is quite nice and a real slicer, love that grippy handle material that he uses, very secure grip!

Suretouch is good stuff. Nice lanyard work! I’m happy to have so many knives with your lanyards on them 🤗

These could be simple beads or found items and there are also those who favor skulls, demons, and other darker-themed decoration. There are an awful lot of knots and ties both simple and complex. There are many knife knuts that haven't any use for hanging something off the butt of their blades but many do enjoy adding something personal without the need of more extensive modding to the knife.

First off, Welcome to the forums!

and I agree, about anything can and often will make a different look to a lanyard, on this knife it has a braided leather lanyard and at the ends of each tail are the shiny bits that were not used from the spark plugs I was installing, the threaded inside helped to grip against the sliver of rubberized cork that I slip into them so it wedged in place. Being a bit weighty and shiny, they made a neat, albeit different, looking end of the lanyard.

Thanks Doc, it has fast become a favourite of mine with it's hollow ground blade and the action is perfect as is the size for me.

On another note, I ordered this bead several weeks ago and it arrived today, I'm glad that it actually looks as good in person as it did online ;) Seems appropriate for the knife as it is Artisan's model called Ahab

The main knot is a Wide Diamond knot and then three snake knots, along with a small keeper bead at the end which prevents the snake knots from becoming unraveled.

RE: the Ochs Worx knife, A reviewer gave high marks to their Lontra, and I ordered the Solarstorm on Sale, hoping it will be as good as I like the looks better.
