The "Official" T.M. Hunt Custom Knives Random Chat Thread

That's part of the reason why I'm out.... The budget's a bit tight this month. :foot:

*Good thing I have a bit of a "fund" set aside for a Magua. :D

So after shooting a slingshot in the shop this weekend, I've decided I need one. Suggestions?

Hi Murph,

Heres an old post & review " I " posted on another Forum.

" I had been looking at a " Slingshot " for some time,.. and finally decided to buy one.The below Slingshot is a bit more versatile than the others ( Shoots Rocks / Ball Bearings & Arrows )

I ordered the " HFX Elk Hunter ", with the Fishing Rod Attachment, and received it last week, here's a few photos.

Take note of metal tab @ 12 o clock position

Arrow rest folded down, for use with Rocks / Marbles / Ball Bearings.

The Arrow rest locks into the down position, and requires pushing the metal tab forward , and it flips upright.

I had planned on giving it a test run on the shooting range. But, I had to cancel that plan, due to foul weather conditions ( Rain ).

However, my first impressions:

1. It's constructed pretty sturdy, and should last for some time.
2. The black " 40 lbs Rubber Tubes " are pretty strong.

" IF " you decide on using Arrows,.. I would suggest you get a " Archers Wrist Bowstring Trigger Release ".

I own & shoot several Longbows ( 60 - 65 lbs / split three fingers), & found it difficult to hold the Slingshot @ full draw ( 40 lbs Tubes ) using my " Thumb & two fingers " pinched around the leather pouch.

I plan to use the " HFX Slingshot " primarily for use with " Rocks / Marbles / Ball Bearings ", and as a secondary use, for " Fishing with Arrows ".

Just my two cents on the subject.

Forgive my ignorance, but why would you need a fishing rod attached to a slingshot?

Ladies, gentlemen & staff - I have nothing to contribute. I just wanted to squander my 500th post. :D
At the rate I'm going, expect a 1,000 post giveaway in about 5 years.

Glad you could spend it here with us! So, you brought the beer right?

A hahaha, you really haven't ever been by the shop have you?
Not yet.... Hope to change that here soon.
I am well aware of the beer situation though. Granted, Todd has made a few threats on the off chance that I show up without beer.
