The "Official" T.M. Hunt Custom Knives Random Chat Thread

Ugh. Arts and crafts.... Black n Blue Magua and I are helping the little lady work on the wedding invitations. She didn't like my idea of index cards with "you can come to the wedding" written across it in sharpie.

I would have recommended just sending text messages. I despise those frilly arts and crafts. Of course, after some years of being involuntarily enlisted to help out with that sort of crap, I learn that really all I had to do was purposely screw a bunch of them up, claim ineptitude and snark away. After about 5 mins, I'm free to do other things. :D

:D I'm going to plea the 5th there.....
Actually, Magua and I were helping to fix a few screw ups by pulling apart pieces of paper that were glued together last night. The little lady took it from there.... Mainly because I usually screw up my arts and crafts time. I don't know why, but I suck so bad at arts and crafts. :D

Excellent... I'll probably drop you a line when I'm looking for one.

that's genius!
I have my moments.... whether or not they are recognized or I get credit for them is an entirely different story.

That's a really nice Mag Jerry. That black and blue is just awesome.
:D Thanks. I'm rather partial to it myself... Enough to say that it is my favorite knife right now.

(How's that for being a kissass, Murph)

I've thought about it. And when my Tradewater is done, I insist on you two fine fellows delivering it to my local Hooter's (the one on the river is my favorite; 700 W Riverside Dr, Jeffersonville, IN) in person, some sunny weekend afternoon PRE blade show. Therein I will marvel at your craftsmanship, fill your bellies full of wings and mead (my treat) and regale you with stories about that side project that has consumed so much of my time. Deal? This offer extends to any reader who feels like making the trip and is of course contingent upon Todd falling for my bribe.

If Todd declines this offer then I vow to shoulder this one solo.

Hey Jerry, when do I need to have your projects done? I have them all together but not finished. You gonna be be by to hold a stool down soon?

Yes! That project might come in handy the weekend after Easter.

As far as coming down, I was about to send you a message. I really hoped to come down and bug you today, but that just isn't in the cards. Next weekend, on the other hand, should work out well assuming you'll be around. Maybe I'll even be able to bring down a tribute of beer.

Speaking of, I saw you guys in the big white Hunt Mobile yesterday during my travels.... Yes, it is as creepy as it sounds.

So if you pause the new Naked and Afraid episode where they're talking about EJ's primitive survival rating, he appears to be wielding his M18. Can anyone else confirm this?

I bet he is. It just wasn't allowed with him on the shoot. He's pretty enamored with it.

Yeah Diesel good eye. This was E.J.s second appearance on Naked and afraid and he was adamant about taking his M-18 on this one (which needless to say would of been very cool to see) But evidentally if your familiar with the show they get to take only one item of there choice but what you dont know is they actually take 4 and the production manager chooses the final one item for each of them to take. E.J. did indeed take his trusty M-18 but the production manager told him he thought it was to much knife (heavy) for his companion to swing since she was so small of a gal.

E.J. called me last week and said of coarse it was impossible to know what ends up on the editors floor, but he told me he had it with him on the Naked after Dark Live after show. I unfortunately didnt get to watch it, but my Dad told me there was a pic of him carrying it as well as a fairly detailed shot of the hand tooled sheath I made for it that had E.J.s Skullcrusher skull on it with one of his quotes. I was sorry to have missed it, but, I was actually out in the shop trying to get caught up on knife projects.

Is this the one where they are in Africa and he gets the thorns in his foot? Or is that the old one?

That was the first one he was in. The second one just aired this last Sunday.
