Anyone have a comparison pic with the 801? Wondering how much bulkier the 562 really is for edc.

I get home in a few hours. I can throw one up for you then if someone else hasn't done so by then.

First impressions are hopeful. I dig the flipper action. Lighter than my 0561. It's the new edc for now.

After looking at the 0562 I made the realization that the steel lockbar insert it oversized just like the 0801. So the lockbar insert acts as a lockbar stabilizer just like on the 0801. So this means the actual lockbar insert on the 0562 is unnecessary. Although for some reason I like the idea of having 2 lockbar stabilizers

I could be wrong but, I believe the steel insert is for wear and tear. Meaning steel insert on the metal blade will wear slower than the ti lockbar on the blade.

Whatever the case. The knife fits good in hand and the flipper on it is very nice. Will carry have to carry it for a few days to be sure.
To re-profile now; or to wait it out...

The steel insert is for wear and tear. However it is also wider front to back and works as a lockbar stabilizer. One part 2 functions

I don't understand What you are trying to say? What is lock bar stabilizer is suppose to do?

Ok so lockbar stabilizer on the 0562 is designed to keep the lockbar from over extending when disengaging the lock. It is the circle half way up the lockbar. The 0801 doesn't use his part. Instead the steel lock face insert on the 0801 is wider front to back that the lockbar itself is. They are two means to the same end. Both are designed to not let the lockbar over extend. The 0562 uses both methods to keep the lockbar from over extending. It really only needs one system but the fact that it used both is kind of cool

I just got mine . I love it.
Opens like a 0801 with a little more bang. It closes smoother than my 0801. It doesn't have that initial hitch of the 0801.
