I'm glad they finally put a thinner grind on one of these and also reduced the rasping grooves onthe handle somewhat. The blade reminds me of the Randal 11 Alaskan Skinner:

I'd be more enthused if, as mentioned above, they skeletonize the scaled liner AND added a backspacer to close the knife. The only knives that I have any trouble with getting mud/muck/dirt/sand/wood/lint in are these silly open-construction designs that let the stuff in to begin with. I suppose I could always get oen and then just make my own spacer to fix the design...

Are the steel lock-face inserts really very helpful? Or more of a design concern?

Apologies if already answered, is the CF/M390 regular production, limited production, or limited edition? Just wondering so I know how hardcore I'll have to get to acquire one :o

Why? There are plenty of fans showing up with hot off the presses information here.

I see your point, but skimming through the general forum and search bar feels subpar. It was nice having a dedicated forum I could go to for news and feedback on the latest KAI/ZT goodies. I know why it was closed, but I hope it comes back one day.

Back on topic, the new collabs look dope. Gonna get at least one of them.

If street price is $220 I'm have a hard time thinking it could be worth $100 more than a Para 2. I hope I'm wrong...

Love the PM2 but this is a different animal... And when you consider that the sprint M390 PM2 goes from $200-$350 on the secondary market, this 0562CF parts wise is miles ahead of it. KVT, Ti, CF, M390... If you're gonna compare it to the S30v PM2, it just boils down to preference, after all, a $8 Opinel can be all that you need.

I don't follow this train of thought either. Very, very different.

A sprint run Para2 or a Ti Para2 would make a better comparison. Actually out of the Spydie lineup the Domino would probably be best to compare. They both have CF scales, Ti framelock with steel insert, bearing system flipper, and a super steel blade.

I would agree to a point. Then you have point of origin and other factors. But yes, much closer to the domino or southard.

The 0562CF and the Southard would definitely be a better comparison, although, the Southard has brown G-10 vs. CF and I think most would agree that the 0562CF has a better clip.

The CF in M390 will be mine. What a sexy blade! ZT is doing a great job lately. Just have to wait on the 0770 CF for falling into my mail box. Waiting 6 months on that one now!

That is dang good lookin'! Love the m390 option, though I'd probably get the regular if I did end up getting one.

MSRP for the 0550 was $250, and street price right now is about $150. If the g10/elmax version of this ended up at $150 that would be a KILLER! No one could keep that in stock
But remember the street price for the 0550 was $199 until fairly recently.
