You read my mind, PM sent. If I tell the wife I am going to so and so the first thing out of her mouth is "paying gig"? If momma ain't happy nobody is happy. Gotta take care of the Commander of the Garrison. 14 yrs in May. I am not a handsome man and tool old to break another one in.

What is it about subdued knives stuck in trees that make me so happy? Yet another topic for me to explore with my doctor.

LMAO, and congrats on 14 years!

Great pics, everyone!

Hey pitdog do you know what kind of snake that is? Is it poisonous and do you think Ill find one on mainland Vancouver? Iv been wanting a snake for a while (not as a pet, just a great prank) and had kind of given up hope that there were snakes here at all.

Yup, like the others said it is a Garter. You will find them on the mainland and they are not poisonous but can still give a painfull bite as my son will tell ya !!!:D
Also be aware that they give off a real bad smell when you handle them and it is real hard to wash off your skin !!!!:thumbdn:

It's the same with european ring snakes. When they feel annoyed, they can empty their colon on you. :barf:
That's why I don't touch them. Ever.

damn I don't know where you get all these pretty women to join you on these hikes...

I can compare my g/f to bubble boy since she wont even leave the tent out of fear from bugs.. what a hassle :(

Buh.... toproping is for pussies! Climbing is leading! :D :D :D Just kidding. I have toproped a lot and I still do it sometimes. I just hate hitting the rope with my tools...

Are those some sweet Black Diamong Cobras in the first picture? They are BD for sure but I can't tell if they are the pricey carbon fiber Cobras or the cheaper (just cheaper.. not cheap!) Vipers.

In the second picture... and telling for the front bail of the crampon, the yellow strap and the yellow back lever... I would say they are some Grivel crampons... Rambos?

I am jealous now... I went ice climbing on Saturday and there is just enough for the shortest screws... Just for the hell of it we did some dry tooling afterwards.

Mikel

PD: I am looking for some neat pictures to post my own here... anyone here knows if there is a chance of orginizing the pictures in Imageshack? Maybe with folders or something... I just can't figure out how and I always end up going through a shitload of them just to find the ones I want.

Haven't you been informed? I AM a pussy. :D Man, I made the "mistake" of openly CCing my friends on that climbing pic, and it started a flurry of savagely priceless ballbusting ("The reason he doesn't show his feet is because he's actually standing on the ground."). A Navy SEAL pal had the funniest one though: "Brian, I find myself curiously aroused by the way that harness rides up the crack of yer ass." With friends like these...:D

They are the sweet ones (Cobras), yes. :)

I think they were Grivels, but can't remember for sure.

Where did you get the little piggy light? I found one of those on a gas pump last week, my wife loves it, and I'd like to find the source of them...

Looking at all these cool pics from out west, I'm feeling like I live on the wrong side of the country.....

Mount St. Helen's is a wonderful place!
