Don't get out car camping much these days but managed to last weekend.

Weather looks much better in the pic than it actually was. Had on and off showers, sleet and light snow with tops of about 5degC (~41degF) on Sat and 2degC (~35degF) on Sun. Was still a good time sitting around the communal camp fire.

Seven day hike in a Finnish national park in Lappland a couple fo weeks ago. Sorry bout the picture quality, they were taken with a mobile phone camera.

My sharpies. Usually the Vic and the small leuku. On shorter day hikes I might take the small puukko.

Nice pictures HawGorn. Reminds me of visiting the village of Kaaresuvanto and its surroundings a couple of years ago. I really need to explore more of Finland.

A man dedicated to the cause! How're you liking the Canon SD10(?). My sis in law has one and it takes pretty decent pics I think.

So far so good! I only just got it last week and am still getting accustomed to it. My older waterproof camera was just way too bulky.

Good stuff Jean! Welcome to Bladeforums and W&SS :)

What is that top knife in your second to last pic?

Time to drill some new wells, ran out of water this summer in some spots. Hauling water sucks. Turned out to be a bad day for Bulldog, the operator lowered the blade on him while he was sleeping in the shade of the blade.

Smack dab in the middle of the suburban sprawl that is central NJ. Powerline clearcut 100yds to the right, and 'burbs 150yds to the left. Even here there are places where one can pause briefly and feel a one-ness with what little remains of the forest on a rainy day. (Provided one is willing to look.)
