The Old Rugged Victorinox Cross..... Pioneer content, grails and such.... Red Gold...

Hey sak guy when you say red shield I automatically thought of the naranja orange with red shield swiss bianco just put out to market. But upon further searching it came from a limited run [SFO] possibly 2014.

The current orange is a SFO for 2014 by a knife dealer who shall remain unnamed. That said, it was but three days of its intro when the SOLD OUT sign went up. At a reasonable <$40.00 price, it was probably the internet's best deal of any knife this year; and the prettiest.;)

My mistake. I looked again with my laptop screen tilted differently and it's a plain shield so it's probably the recent run that Al talked about. There were two (maybe three) oranges in that 2013 SB run I was talking about...Orange and Sunset Orange, both with red background shields. I bought the Apocalypse Green Farmer from that run. I really wanted an orange Pioneer too but couldn't swing it after the Farmer.

I believe you are correct! I have one like yours and they are beautiful knives.
 
I've owned several low end and high end production knives over the years, but sold most of them in favor of this dynamic everyday duo. Pioneer and Minichamp
