The Old Rugged Victorinox Cross..... Pioneer content, grails and such.... Red Gold...

I can't believe I haven't seen this thread until now! I love me some alox SAK's and there are some really cool ones pictured here. I prefer the SAK Cadet and have been on the look out for one of those straight ribbed alox Cadets for a while.

My newest is the orange Cadet.

Seeing these SAK's gets me fired up that's for sure

I only have one old SAK and it was a special gift from one of my brothers here - a classic old cross in Red :)

Anyone know what model this one is? It's a single spring with large pen and a small pen.

It appears to be an old cross 84mm Bantam II, or the 93mm Pioneer Settler. Take a measurement...if it's 3.5", it's the Pioneer; 3.25" makes it the Bantam.

Always enjoy seeing you Cadet collection.....

Oh wow thanks fellas. I should have noted the length/frame - it's a 91mm. Never heard of that model. Very slim in the pocket, I love it. Any idea years of production or when was it discontinued?

No dates AZR but there is a new one on the big auction site for $$$.

Old cross scales makes it '99 or earlier.

That is a beauty, AZ!
Red Alox, old cross, slim, pen blade (I really like whittling with Vic's pen blade), no keyring - what's not to love?
Thanks for posting the photo!

You're welcome hermano....now, seeing as my Braille is a bit rusty, I'm having a slight problem ascertaining what model SAK you have pictured; can ya' help an old altar boy Father?

I'm sorry bud, it's my EDC Pioneer. Been carrying it daily for a while. I could of adjusted the highlights down and brought up the shadows but was trying to capture the feel of the bright sun.

I totally agree with the slim pocket friendly aspect of the single layer SAK's
They are a handy two bladed Traditional pen knife and everyone should have at least one .

Here's mine , it's not old but it is a favourite .
