The Old Rugged Victorinox Cross..... Pioneer content, grails and such.... Red Gold...

Me personally if I need to scrape or pry anything, that's when I reach into my toolbox for a screwdriver or other tool. Them Pioneer's sure look purty though. :p

Doesn't it get heavy carting around that toolbox everywhere you go ;) Not saying there aren't better tools for such jobs, but if I'm not at home near my tools I'm sure happy to have my SAK on me.

Why doesn't Victorinox make more red ones? They are hard to find unless you're willing to pay triple the price on the bay.

I've wondered that too. I get the limited production on the unique colors like green, orange, etc...but I'm surprised how hard it is to get a red one in the US when that is the color most associated with a SAK. Plus, red looks the best when it's worn and faded!

I agree. How do you score one of those greens or oranges? Do you wait until they announce a limited run of a certain model and color and just get in early?

Unfortunately can't really talk about the details of that here...I'll leave you a visitor message.

Just recently started getting into the Alox SAKs. Got a silver but the green and blue ones seem to be as rare as hens teeth. I do not know why, but the blue one calls to me, it REALLY needs to find a way into my hands.

...one day.

I have taken to my recently acquired electrician very quickly. Alox is new to me. I've searched these pages with interest but have yet to find any, did Vic ever make any coloured electrician models?

I haven't seen many that weren't modded. Only color I know of to come out of victorinox factory was a limited run of copper ones.

Yes, short run and low numbers in gold, copper, and blue, as well as a black model for the Swiss Railway.

Not reg production.

Here's my "Schweizer Institut für Nuklearforschung" (Swiss Institute for Nuclear research) Electrician. (bottom)

Hmmm, copper sounds appropriate somehow.

All sound great!

Awesome!

Thanks gents... Honestly I doubt I'd ever get the chance but I'll keep an eye open :)

I think I would kill for a reasonably priced copper Electrician . . . well, maybe just a bug or something, but you know what I mean. ;)
