Man your in ohio, go to one of the many shows and hold one for FREE, then you can actually tell which you like before you make a large investment like that. I have handled quite a few, not all mine, but i have handled a decent selection of Busse and kin. some I LOVE, some not so much, so it would be good to see which you like first,

Not sure where you are in OH, but Knob creek is this weekend and thats one of the best shows all year for Busse/kin. If you made that show you would get to see and hold any one you wanted lol

I live about 20 minutes from busse headquarters.I plan on stopping by one of these days. I'll never be able to afford one of those knives though, lol.

What!? Busse is HQ'd in Ohio?

Yes Wauseon OH, but they are a closed shop and you wont get to go in and check out knives. They wont let you in at all, INFI steel is Proprietary To Busse, And some stuff is secret.

You have to go to the shows really or just bite the bullet and buy one LOL

This is the first time i seen this thread with not a single other person in it. And i dont sleep, i was beginning to think you guys didnt either LMAO

I'm just getting up to start my work week @ the prison & decided to check up on things while I let the dogs out. Worldwood I must say those are some beautiful looking knives I've always kept an eye out for a Busse I could bite the bullet on & afford but like in an earlier post I have both a "warden" & a "boss" (wife) that would through a T total shhh fit if the spent that kind of $ on a blade. Had a buddy show off his basic4 to me & that's kind of the one I always keep my eye opened for. Are they really worth the price tag ?

I'm a bit bummed because my patches didn't get picked up and I was two letters away from that Endura last night (it dawned on me just after my last post what CE stands for :o), and I have a job interview tommorrow... So what better way to lift my spirits is there than to give?!?

Here's a boomerang my brother made for me, but forgot that I'm basically a southpaw*... For scale reference, it's lying on A4 book (letter sized paper, or very close to it, for Americans):

Treied and tested, flies well.

* actually, I'm mostly right handed because parents thaugt me to do everything as a right-handed person (e.g. can't write worth damn with my left hand), so am basically ambidextrous- except some things requiring strength and control are still best handld with my left hand...

I like your patches just fine Wolf, I just felt like you should be keeping them :)

Again, I can't take your brothers handiwork either. That should be given to a child or something.

You'll want it if he's not around someday.

I was upset just tearing my tent out earlier because it was my brothers and we spent lots of time together in that thing.

Stvporciau, if you like patches- they're yours. ;) The reason I was giving them away is they're sentimental value* (as per original idea of the thread), but would be better off in hands of someone who might appreciate them for curiosity or 'memorabilia' rather than to sit in my drawer... As for boomerang- it's useless to me and it's free for grabs (I've got replacement 'southpaw version', and a smaller right handed version that doesn't require that much force to throw). If you still want them email me your adress (BTW, the patches are a set).

* e.g. the lighter I've sent to Nick, and very rare tobbacco (and 'funny money' he doesn't know he's getting) all belonged to my grandfather, my favourite person of all time :D Fear not, Nick, if you read this- it's not counterfit money...

I don't know.

I will ponder this as I sleep ;)

With an obvious "dibs", anyone please feel free to call secondsies.

Worldwood, between this and the snark thread, it looks like you got about 3 hours of sleep. You weren't kidding about the insomnia thing.

I can understand your sentiments. It was actually hard to put my old Kershaw blade up. It was given to me by my dad when I was a kid. Even though I hadn't used it in years I've just held onto it for sentimental value... I don't think it has much actual market value. It is still available, way back on page 28.
Anything I accept from members on this forum will be handled and used with respect, especially knives and sentimental items. I also would completely understand if at some point the original owner wants the item back. If I got an item and later found myself not using it, I would either pass it on to someone in need or post it back up on this thread (or it's next incarnation) for free and offer first dibs to the original owner. I believe that others participating in this thread would do the same.

FT- I think everybody loses track of what's been taken and what hasn't. Now that you've re-upped the Kershaw (PAGE 28), I bet it moves fast. That's the thing with this thread; it has grown so quickly and everything has been called very fast that if it's a page or two back, everyone assumes it has a new home.

And I do agree with the sentimental aspect of things. I have knives and stuff that I won't give up even though I don't ever use them. Maybe you should reconsider giving up that knife. We want you to have no regrets a year from now.
