Certainly we were blind sided by the actions of Tony and MT, and are still rolling our eyes about it. People have short memories, and with the 0777 getting closer, it's important to us that there is no confusion here.

I was disappointed even recently after some correspondence with MT saying that they were done with the Matrix (no apology of course). Have it in writing...only to see a new crop hit the streets a short while later. :rolleyes: MT is MT, and they do what they do without any guilt or apologies. People will support such actions, others don't know about it, and hopefully there are a bunch of you that understand that integrity matters. It's important to keep folks informed so they can make eyes wide open decisions on who, where and why when spending their hard earned monies.

I've said before that counterfeiting the 0777 is probably pretty tame on MT's past and future issues list. I'm sure they lose no sleep over it, and in the end a little ankle biter like Tony doesn't keep us up at night either.
 
Just a question. The TILT used Vanax 75, was there a particular reason that the 0777 is going with the Vanax 35 rather than 75?

You can rest assured that I'll never own an MT product after this debacle. I won't support a company like that with my dollars or word of mouth.

Kershaw and ZT on the other hand...Well, I keep checking this forum for updates, so that should tell you something. Just ready for the email saying mine is ready for shipment!
 
I owned one MT and sold it the moment they ripped off the 777. I'll never buy another. Two 777s on order, it just might finally kick the Volt 3600 out of my pocket.
 
Is there anywhere that you can still get on a pre-order list for this knife? Or are they all filled up?

But its true, after I found out about the... issues, I berated my friend for having bought so many MT in the past lol [granted its his decision, I did it passive aggressively :p]. And I think we gave Thomas enough flak regarding the blade steel lol

Thank God for this much anticipated/needed update :D I've been checking the 0777 First Looks thread and after no responses in over 2 weeks I began to lose hope, until today!!!
 
Wouldn't it be funny if MT's corporate espionage version was named the 0666?

But really now, 666 is the name of the beast, and the mark to. As kids we used to say it was the devils phone number. 666 is mentioned in the Bible in the Book of Revelation 13:17-18.

So how did 777 become God's phone number? I get that 7 is God's perfect number/days of the week/day of rest; and is also superstitiously lucky. So does three 7's have something to do with the trinity (neither of which are mentioned in the Bible)?

Just wondering if anyone has any insight into this numbering scheme, sorry for the tangent.

Not to take away from Jimmer who will most likely reply, but from what I deduce, the 0777 got its name from being a "winning" sort of knife (Jackpot number at casinos, etc.)
 
Thanks for the update, Thomas. I'm hoping I will be able to get my hands on this one but apparently the pre-order I thought I had in never went through.:grumpy: It was my own damn fault for not double checking.
