Folks still love their Pembertons?

Absolutely but only got it a couple weeks ago. Perfect little knife for law office carry as it rides so well in pockets but also will tackle my daily chores without a problem.

Oh YES! In fact I love my Pemby more and more as time goes on. It's almost never out of my reach anymore in fact. I do rotate it with my #92 Eureka Jack or the #85 EO in AB on occasion as my second knife (the #55 is always with me and is my primary Numero Uno EDC pocket knife).

But yes, the Pemberton is with me about 80% of the time as my #2 EDC. It's just a wonderful little companion and the FF/quality is outstanding.

Thanks for resurrecting this thread, I've been wondering lately why it faded into the background. The Pemberton is GEC's "peanut" and it's a fantastic model, good for 90% of the tasks that most people need a pocket knife for.

I had never owned a knife with acrylic covers, so a few months ago I decided the Pemberton would be my "test" knife. I like the acrylic covers on this knife, and I'm glad I bought it, but I won't necessarily be on the lookout for more acrylic - I think it would depend on what knife it is, and on the particular acrylic color/pattern.

As to the Pemberton vs the Peanut, I like the Pemberton a little better - I happen to like both nail nicks on the mark side of a "jack" knife. I also think the Pemberton feels more substantial in hand than the Peanut, but notice no difference in the pocket. Truly a great little knife, and as an added bonus the F&F is outstanding!

This pic was taken inside, near a window on a sunny day to show the translucence of the acrylic:

On page 1 I had none and wanted one. Now, my 4 guys...

That is beautiful! I've never really had interest in acrylic but after seeing yours, I've found interest! That color is amazing!!

I much prefer the soft leather slip Jonathan, I have the GEC slip also and I agree, it should be a bit softer leather than it is.

Work a few coats of saddle soap into it. It will soften up and mold itself to the knife.

Thanks Mink, I'll give that a try :)

SaintlyBreeze - nice family of Pembertons you've built there!

Mine still holds a high place on my "Favorite" list.

Love seeing all these Pembertons. Took my Ebony Pemberton on a recent Scout outing. Other than when I needed a saw and can opener (That's what SAKs are for :) ), it took care of my cutting tasks around camp. Really would like to pick one up in jigged bone, especially the olive jigged bone, but no job at the moment and money is tight.
