The Pemberton Appreciation Society

While those are truly some gorgeous little knives, the nearly $100 price tag means I won't be buying one. I don't normally carry a knife that small and when I do the Case Peanut or Small Stockman patterns do the job for me just fine.

agree with you on the price tag for the pemberton. i carry a peanut almost every day and have another on the way.

Yeah they sure aren't priced by their size! But the quality is absolutely first class and it's the same ballpark price that I pay for my other GEC's so not a big deal in the scheme of things.

The Pemberton's joints got oiled with 3-n-1 this morning (#55 too of course) and they're ready for service :)

The Peanut will always have its place in my collection, but my GEC Pemberton (in stag) makes my Peanuts look and feel cheap in comparison.
Well worth the price if you need a tiny knife to handle big knife duties.

It has arrived! :)

Picked it up a couple hours ago at my PO Box. Wow I'm very impressed with it - in fact it exceeds my expectations. F/F is perfect and it's a very small and wonderful little slippie. It came out of the tube and went right into the watch pocket of my jeans which is where it will reside as a #2 companion to my #55. I'm VERY pleased with it's size, shape and lines. It's love at first sight I do believe.

It's already been opening mail for me... :)

My new duo together... The #55 Houndstooth and #6 Pemberton in autumn gold bone

Nothing those two knives cannot accomplish!

My #55 and it's new side-kick the #06 Pemberton :)

The Houndstooth is my absolute favorite by far and has not been out of arm's reach since I got it in mid-June. It's so slim and sleek and fits the hand so well.

For me the Pemberton is definitely love at first site and I can already tell this tiny little folder is a gem. I couldn't be more pleased with it. It's just as tiny as a Peanut.

Oh I'm sure they are a good value for the money. I have already purchased one GEC knife that was about the same price and a couple of others close to it. My point is that since I don't typically carry knives in that size range, I wasn't willing to spend that much for a shelf adornment.

For those who do like those smaller knives and would get the value out of it as a user, or for those who collect for the sheer joy and appreciation of a fine piece of workmanship, I'm sure it's properly priced. It's just not the right knife for me. No offense to the knife or it's followers.

i'll take the little bit bigger houndstooth. :D

Does anyone make a Pemberton sized pocket sheath? Like the KSF slip sheaths, but, well, Pemberton size? I've looked but everything I've seen is too big.

Nope haven't seen one that wouldn't be WAY too big for a Pemberton. I'd say make one from a simple folded piece of soft leather. Your local leather shop could probably make you one in 10 minutes.

Here's a soft leather slip one of our fellow members here gifted me for my Charlow. It fits it like a glove and would be very simple to make.

Bunch of enablers!

Just ordered a single blade Pemberton with Ebony scales. Could not find a olive jigged bone one, and looking over this thread I realized I've never had a knife with Ebony scales.

I was able to pick these two up at Blade this summer. Really like them.

Welcome to the Pemberton Club and congrats! I know personally I WAY underestimated how much I was going to love this wonderful little knife.

Autumn Gold bone is favorite... Followed by Cocobolo wood, then Ebony.

Not a fan of Stag at all. Acrylic I'll perhaps try sometime?
