Outstanding thread packed with stunning pics. Thank you all.

The birthplace of the MacKenzie River, Clear Lake, Central Oregon Cascade Mountains. It comes right up out of the ground in this cold clear pond and it flows quickly, less than 100 feet, into Clear Lake. Pic taken late summer, in bright sunlight, 2004.

A chilly Black Butte Ranch, Central Oregon Cascades (about 3,500 ft elevation), winter's walk late in the day.

Here is the hummingbird from my back porch. I am in the Texas hill country but I believe they migrate to Mexico in the winter. Be on the look out for this one, Don Luis. I told him I knew you from BFC and to stop by your place for a bite to eat.

...Be on the look out for this one...
That's a nice one, I'll be watching...

Here's a picture where the important thing is the place and time more than the actual quality of the photograph, that's me in the summer of 1972, it's the real thing not a photo mount. It was taken with a 6x6 Bronica using local Chinese film, I had no info on developing time and the original negative came out underdeveloped but acceptable I guess...

Holy cow, Mr Larry B!

Can you tell us what level of detail you are getting? So about how wide are the craters were are seeing? If we build a moon-base, do you think you'll be able to spot it?

I had seen cicadas skins hanging around before but when I saw one actually emerging, I had to get a shot.

this one is fantastic!

Outstanding moon pictures! I have a decent little Meade telescope and have always intended to try shooting some pictures with it. What kind of adapter do you use to attach your camera?

I use TeleVue camera adapters. I have 2" and 1.25". I like shooting the moon because you can get in real close.

Larry B., your pics are simply awesome. That last one's my new desktop.

Thank you again.

I second that.

Larry B, do you mind if I use your pictures for themes in my cell phone ?.
