The Photo Thread

Here's a pen I've been working on. Has a bit of a twist to it.

This pic is of my Father and my dog Angel. My Pop was going through chemo back then, that's why he's bald. The pic is dull and grainy cause I took it at night and didn't want to wake them by using the flash.

Here's a possum I photographed up close, on my land. Very friendly little critter, even let me pet it's tail without getting scared which surprised me a bit. I didn't realize possums are this friendly. Not to mention I thought they were nocturnal.

Not to be mistaken with the Opossum, a distant relative that you folks have in the Americas.

This is the Possum, a marsupial native to Australia, New Guinea, Sulawesi and introduced into New Zealand, now a pest.

It's eating my trees though. "Cute" saved him from certain death today. If they continue to eat and destroy my trees (which I planted myself by the hundreds) then not even "cute" will save them from getting shot.

Awesome shots, Larry! Especially the solar ones. I wonder how you attatched your canon to the scope?

The Sun comes up as we head offshore for a great day of deep sea fishing in the Gulf Of Mexico.

30 miles offshore swapping a six pack of cold beer for some chum. (Notice the basket tied to the rope -
we sent the beer in the basket, he sent back the bait)

A 350 lb Silky Shark that took about and hour & half to land.
(the sob ripped 3 - 25 to 30lb Blackfin Tuna in half before he was hooked)

The Gecko was on the outside of the window screen. I shot from inside the house to the bright outside so it came out as almost a silhouette.

These were taken with my Nikon 8700 digicam. Rowing ALWAYS has photo ops and this regatta was no exception.
