Just posting my designs ;)

Nah man that stuff is too stressful. It took all the fun out of it. If someone sees and wants to make one of my designs then great. But I ain't gonna seek out people anymore. They are too busy with their own stuff. And I understand.

I like it, very cool, very original. That laser-straight top edge, suddenly broken by the 'eye' peeking over the horizon, is a nice touch. The paint, or enamel, is pretty unusual too. It does have a bit of a late-period Picasso feel, with a hint of cubism and abstract-expressionism and whatnot, and an organic feel to the exaggerated curves. It's an art-blade, but it also looks fairly comfortable and usable.

It is wider than it has to be. I thought it might fit in the palm better. But who knows :)

There is a very simple way to know: use knives a lot. People seem to think that "squeezed clay" type of handle is comfortable, but in practice a straight spine usually is easier to use.

Also the tip is very strange with the unground portion going all the way to it. Is there a sharpened edge there?

Clearly you are a skilled and creative CAD user  , but this design seems form over function.

The paint spatters are an abstract-expressionist, Pollock-type touch, but the profile and outlines have a Cubist and Spanish-Surrealist vibe... Picasso, Joan Miro, Hans Arp. What kind of lock-mechanism and materials would this knife use? It looks like anodized ti might work, but bronze would be pretty nice... or copper?

I took a look at your other designs. Here's the problems I see...and they are very, very common traps for novice designers:

1) It's clear you haven't spent a ton of time using knives. So your designs are wacky, if not unusable. Go out and use knives. Let experience drive your design.

2) You have been seduced by CAD. You are ignoring the realities of geometry, physics, and ergonomics. Make models of your knives in cardboard. It will be illuminating.

3) You are not skilled enough yet to reinvent the wheel. Knives look the way they look like for a reason....and the reason is not that no one thought of anything different.

Hang in there. Go. Use. Knives. Can't stress that enough.

Wow, great comments :) Sikael and macknife12 know their artists ;) I have to say to marcinek though that it's not a cad drawing. It's photoshop. Yep good ol photoshop. I start with basic shapes and add and cut things out till I get something I like and the run with it. I don't cheat though. I don't use any photos or anything. It's all from scratch and I just keep working on it untill I get something that hopefully looks halfway real. Or atleast like it was done in cad ;)

Thanks guys :)
