The Pioneer X = Brilliant!

I love Vics, but their tweezers are junk. I have had a pair of Uncle Bill's Sliver Grippers on my keychain for two decades and never lamented that my alox lacks tweezers.
I've had a set of these "Silver Grippers" for years that were given to me and I never knew the name of em! Mine say NSN and a bunch of numbers and they're awesome.

Oh I really got sidetracked... I entered this thread because I got a Pioneer X in silver alox scales today - it's awesome 😂

I honestly do not understand the fascination with scissors. Other than the remote possibility of needing them for trimming a mustache/hair, what use are they ? If I was into origami or crafts I would use dedicated scissors at home. Seriously, please explain the use of scissors outdoors, what use am I missing ?
I didn't either until I started carrying something that had them. It is amazing how much use they get. It is my most used tool, by far. Paper, tags, strings on clothing, envelopes, duct tape, bags of chips, and all sorts of things. It is the most useful tool for me.

For me I use scissors fairly often as I have young kids. When I need to remove the tshirt tag on the collar I'm not looking to hold up a 3" blade close up to the back of their necks. Also if they have something to open like a toy's packaging they want to hold onto it in excitement as I open it for them. A quick snip w/ the scissors does the trick a bit safer than my pocket knife.

Sometimes you need to cut close to delicate things and for safety. A knife would cut it but it might also cut something else that you don’t want cut. Scissors have a particular use like any other tools. I don’t use them as often but they do come in handy when the need arises.
