Looks to me to be a stylized "ML". JohnAn older mystery puukko marked only "M", I have a suspect or two but nothing confirmed.
Handle seems to be birch, rhomboid blade is very sharp carbon steel, 2.9mm at its thickest point with a bit of a distal taper, didn't come with a sheath.

Marko Lindelä, smith at Kainuun Puukko, home of the Tommi puukko, uses a similar mark.

The inscription refers to city of Lappeenta and it´s water tower https://finna.fi/Record/lappeenrannanmuseot.180C939A-BF33-4D43-8B21-8BED73B184D6 built into its current shape in 1955.This one is from Kustaa Lammi. It has an unusually small companion knife in the sheath

Somewhere (it might have been Old Forest Bushcraft on YouTube) I came across the Finnish word for the click sound a puukko makes when seated into a nicely fitting sheath. Can anyone here remember what that word is?A.L. ?
That’s wild becuase I’ve driven past the tower many times and not paid attention to it. I usually remember the lapeenranta wildman drawings around town more readily. The inscription refers to city of Lappeenta and it´s water tower https://finna.fi/Record/lappeenrannanmuseot.180C939A-BF33-4D43-8B21-8BED73B184D6 built into its current shape in 1955.
