The Ratwieler LE or CG?

You're going to need to start a bowie collection going after the RW to match all those sweet drop points Worldwood! :D

That flat ground RMD is just stupid cool!:thumbup:

Thanks man, I love me some drop points!!

Luckily for my wallet, most of the Swamp rat blades are clip points and will match the ratweiler pretty good. So at least i wont have to go through the custom shop and can save a few coins LOL.

A thin ratweiler is like a 1969 roadrunner with a v 6 engine!! not original equipment!! I want a real ratweiler. if you want a thin knife , call it something else!

I kind of agree with that. Don't make us wait anxiously for a rerelease, only to put out a different knife.

Way to kick a man when he is down LMAO j/k

Beautiful knife!!

I love seeing that temper line.

I have thought long and hard about either stripping, or having my chopweiler media blasted just to look at that gorgeous temper line. But i figure the coating will come off sooner or later anyway in use.

LOL...sorry bro...couldn't resist. The first one is an original. Miss that one badly. I may have to get a CG and blast it again. Anyone know if they are going to be dual tempered again. Anyhow....I'm in for the LE. May have to wait a bit, but the RW is one of the best knives around. It was my intro blade to the Busse world!

No, not dual tempered anymore unfortunately.

Im still in for the CG though!! Love the looks of the knife!!

Thanks guys. The swedges on the bottom two were done by Bill Seigle. The DC were done by myself back in the day when I had the time, a man cave, and the energy to do such things. LOL....miss all it, especially the blades!;)

I don't see the CG coming in under .25. Sure, thin knives will cut but that is not why I buy outdoor blades from Busse and kin in this size range. I buy them to cut and pound on and chop with -and generally just enjoy their beastliness. If I want a thin 7" blade to slice with, why not just take a butchers knife to the woods instead? That will cut best.

Keeping the Ratweiler profile and then removing the guts would be a shame. They know we don't buy these things to merely observe the profile.

.25 CG, come on, baby!

Well said my friend!

For pure drooling purposes...

Those are some sweet weilers gentlemen thanks for sharing. It blows my mind that the new ones are going to be the thinnest knives offered by the swamp. Thinner than the Solution and R3? Crazy. They should have went thicker like the R6 if they felt they had to change. I will probaby get a skinny muddy weiler anyway. Should be a nice slicer for the smoker.

These thin blades are going to be wonderful, ultra keen slicers with frightfully sharp edges. Bet you they can take a one inch free hanging rope with nary a problem with VERY little effort. All good!

who cares how thick or thin this thing is... its a damn satin ratwieler available in your choice of G10=sold :)

Yeah, a satin SR101 knife would live it's life in my drawer slathered in RenWax so I guess the thickness doesn't matter. As far as a CG is concerned, a thin 7" bladed knife would bind up in logs when batoning, have weak forward weight, look anorexic, drive me nuts, and just end up living in the drawer next to the satin one. I guess the thickness of the blade doesn't matter at all in my drawer, so that's a consideration.

My drawer is pretty full, though, so this one will have to gain some weight to make it home.

The Ratweiler CG needs to double up on the bacon, cook with real butter, drink dark beers, eat pizza right before bed, and never go jogging!
