I was very good this year and asked Santa on reddit for a vanax sparrow and xmas came early! But there were at least a half-dozen grinch scam attempts along the way. Don't trust the timestamp - references are everything but Santa did come through and it was Joy Joy Joy to the world!

It really is no secret now that I get to humbly work with and have some input at REK Knives REK Knives on occasion.

Josh is an incredible friend to me and a humble, down-to-earth, caring gentleman.

That being said, the posted Sparrow I had some input on. It is full DLC with the center done in a mirror polished DLC. It was a random one-off, “what if this happened on the Sparrow handle” kinda deal.

I feel extremely privileged to have my opinions held in high regards and even more blessed to call Josh and his family personal friends (read family, as that is how my family feels).

Josh is a true artist. His work is absolutely phenomenal and is a representation of him as a person.

My posts of pieces I have from REK are never meant to “show off.” They have sentimental value to me and I feel like I need to post to share the work Josh has done instead of hiding them away.

I truly hope that folks appreciate seeing my REK collection and it puts a smile on your face and a “wow” in your mind.

With my costs on everything for the midtechs and the work I still had to do on them it won't work out for me to make more unless something changed in that regard. I am planning on continuing to make customs and also working with Reate to make a batch of production Sparrows over the next few months but they won't be the same as the midtechs where I hand ground and finished them.
