The rubber glovers

I didn't really want to let the cat out of the bag that BF is actually an undercover op run by Interpol in concert with the CIA and MI6 to track international terrorism.

Well, there goes that.
Oh gosh, oh heck, oh flip, I'm burned!!! It was nice knowing you nice folks, the glowies got me!!! I'm only half joking, I'm sure there's feds lurking in every community. :p

Tag a few of the glovers in this thread, let them splain.
Haha, I should but don’t want to call anyone out. Was hoping some would take part.

I do have some questions, such as:

Are the gloves included with the knife listed?

Can the same glove be used for multiple knives?

What is the proper way to clean white cotton gloves?

Does that mean the knife was only ever handled while wearing freshly cleaned or new gloves?

What other steps are taken to maintain a sterile environment?

Do they recycle rubber gloves to save the environment?

Any clarifications would be greatly appreciated!

Keep it family friendly folks, or the curtain comes down...

Here you go.

I believe this behavior stems from practices in other hobbies that have transcended into different spheres. Initially observed in high-end jewelry or luxury item handling, such as exquisite watches or rings, the habit of wearing gloves has become associated with prestige and value perception. The ritual of wearing rubber or nitrile gloves while handling such items has ingrained the notion that it elevates the perceived worth of the object.

Furthermore, the desire to maintain the pristine condition of delicate items, like knives, by preventing the transfer of fingerprints or hand oils, serves as another motivator for wearing gloves. Additionally, some individuals may opt for gloves due to personal hygiene concerns or to avoid potentially offending others with visibly unkempt hands.

Undoubtedly, human behavior can be multifaceted and subject to various motivations. While these are some prevalent reasons, the spectrum of human quirks suggests an infinite array of possible explanations.

Well, my friend Richard338 Richard338 is rarely wrong, so I'm going to defer to him in this one instance where it's not the Stanley Cup.

(My fanciest was a Zaza Revishvili collaboration with Keith Kilby, M.S. and I never wore gloves...but I digress.)

I don't actually wear those. A friend who collects coins gave them to me. You can order packs of them for $2-$3 per pair.
I do have a couple boxes of 100 latex gloves for dealing with epoxy or chemicals.

I still have a couple hundred left over from my former employment where exposure to chemicals, drugs and other nasty stuff were routine. (Like while searching freighters, by way of example.)
