The Sharpest knife you ever encounter

Spyderco SWICK. I know this sounds cliche', but it truly was laser sharp. I accidentally sliced the crease in the middle knuckle of my middle finger (which caused minor nerve damage and required several stitches), and I barely noticed until it started squirting blood (yes, I hit a large blood vessel in the finger).

Well if we're talking about sharpest "factory" edge, I would have to say Kershaw has produced the most impressive I've seen.

Scandi ground blade in 1070 by Ivan Campos, handled by Kris Klammer of Edmonton. Past scary sharp...

As far as making a knife sharp wuth the Edge Pro Apex goes -
VG10 is horror movie sharp,
AUS8A is sharp extrodinaire
ZDP-189 Uber Sharp

The sharpest blade i have ever seen was a mora at the medieval fair. It cut my finger very deep and i didn't even feel it.

Anything by Tom Krein. Or most 8CR13MOV steel, if you sharpen it like crazy with ultra fine sharpmaker.

The honor has to go to my Sog Seal Pup currently. It came pretty frigging sharp from the factory, but I wanted to see how good it could get, so I used my XX fine rods on my sharp maker and then stropped with white and then green polishing compound. extremely sharp.

Spyderco and Cold Steel both put out the best factory edges that I have seen over the years.

Also Swamp Rat.

I'm no sharpening guru but I do okay and my sharpest knife is my Byrd Cara Cara. Slightly modified. I trimmed the tip and thinned and convexed the edge. It gets the sharpest out of my few knives. My thinned and convexed RC4 isn't far behind though.

Phil Hartsfield, any of them when i went to his store to see if i could get one he started handing them out for my inspection and just lifting the knife off the towel he cut his finger to the bone to which he said "was wondering when that would happen"
