The Shop.... After Dark

God I miss those days, well maybe not the getting peed on and the other stuff but they are so much fun up until early teens and then you realize "Parenting" is a Young Mans sport other than the Wisdom part.
If I had been in my early 30's and had teenagers..... probably wouldn't have gone well.

My son got up in my arms the other day and said "Daddy...when I grow up I want to be a Daddy just like you." Talk about a Father feeling proud!
I'm 41 and my son is 3 so I've got a hard road ahead...we are going to try and have another soon!

Yes! My God Man If you are going to do it GET TO WORK! If you have never lent any credence to anything I have ever said here on the Forum - Get Moving!
I am 51 now and have a 15-16-18-20 and I don't just feel old, I think I may be by now.
Kids are fun. Teenagers (even good ones) are frightening. You immediately become your Father and you are looking at you standing in front of you 25 years ago.
And EVERYTHING you ever did as a teenager slams into your memory in HD like a Fat Woman running for the "two for one" canned hams when Walmart opens the doors Black Friday morning

lol I'll be wishing I was your age when my son is 20. I hear ya on the teenage deal and girls scare me more than boys but I still want one.:D I better get going and crawl in the other bed with my little bed pisser! Night Rubi!

Well, saturday night again, lots of 3" XM's have hit the ground hope everybody is enjoying.

As for me, I have Three (3) Teenagers at Prom tonight. My Freshman Son and Sophomore Son BOTH got asked by Seniors
Daughter is a Junior is going with a Senior (Yes, I had a talk with him)
Hope everybody else is having more fun than me (Keep responses "G" rated please)

Bow Chicka Wow Wow... just playin', Rubi.

It's the 5th of May, so had to patron a Mexican restaurant today, also took in the new Avengers flick. It is going to make hella cash. Huge uncharacteristic turnout for this one. Hulk tends to steal the show with his brief but brutal and comedic screen time.

You Patroned them huh, Cool. Hey its tough to be green.

All good, they had a great time (safe time) everybody home safe. Stressful? Yes, Full Moon, May 5th, Prom Night, Saturday Night....
These are the reasons Vodka comes in 55 gallon drums

Back in my day, yes. Thankful this group of kids are all about sports and fitness and look at the stuff my group thought was cool. These guys look at it as dumb. They are right.

Wish 362 days a year could be like today ( Folks fron San Diego can be quiet) 72* No Humidity , light breeze , not a cloud in the sky. Wow

Spent the day shooting, zeroing, little yard work , Fight is on tonight ..... Good times.

Also, Looking for suggestions for a better " Blank Night in the Shop" I think it is a great thread maybe just a better night, or maybe just "Evening in the Shop" as an anyday thread... thoughts?

Yup "Evening in the Shop" would be the ticket!
Another Saturday night on solo parent patrol again...hopefully I will be urine free tonight!
I have a ZT 0560 inbound. I wasn't going to bother to get one but it was available close by at MSRP so I had to pull the trigger. It will make a good throwaway for those questionable trips where you might not come back with everything you left with.:very_drunk: I was going to get a carved Ti scale made for it and have the lockbar side buffed but then I realized that would defeat my purpose and I would be pissed if I lost it.:D
Did a little stropping tonight on my XM-24 and plan to mirror polish a ZT 0551 in the next day or two. Probably going to sell it locally or in the exchange because I also have a ZT 0550 and with the ZT 0560 coming I wouldn't have use for both a 0550 & 0551. I think I am going to finally order a Hand American balsa strop with their 1 & .5 micron paste. Heard good things and wanted to try for awhile but I keep putting it on the back burner.
I'm off for coffee and cardio...have a good one!

Absent from "night in the shop"...
How about a thread where we post what we did outside the "shop" on a weekend as long as it is postworthy?

Like....take in a very patriotic and professional air show.
