I have a .308 being built by GA Precision... only another 3 months or so... will look something like this, without the little thing on the front, the fancy pistol grip and the rear monopod... I like the noise, use a MIAD, and prefer a bag for the rear... :)

This one, however, is just tasteless. I mean, c'mon... who puts a wooden handled SAK on their AR? Everyone knows those scales should be black G-10 or carbon fiber. :rolleyes:

As far as your ammo question, go to www.wideners.com and get a case of federal XM193, its one of the hottest FMJ loads out there and it's lake city brass. The Prvi Partisan M193 is also a good choice and a little cheaper. Winchester Q3131 is to the same Spec as the XM193, but the XM193 is factory seconds and a good bit cheaper. After thousands and thousands of rounds of each the only difference I see between them is cosmetic.
Ammunitiontogo as mentioned earlier is also a very good source

for top quality stuff, Black Hills 68gr or 69gr is hard to beat for a 1/9" twist barrel (the M&P was a good choice also, congrats! now you'll contract deadly BRD(black rifle disease) to go along with your Busse addiction

As far as the part about Stag making the S&W rifles, they did at first. Now a lot of it is made in house.

Bone stock Bushmaster Flattop M4 clone. Along with my Busses and a few non Busse friends

I need to stop buying Busses so I can afford to buy upgrade parts. Inaddition to the a different stock, grips, rail, iron sites and an optic I plan on installing a piston conversion. I'll probely just use the Bushmaster mod but Ive seen a few other makes. Anybody have any experinece with any of the piston conversions?

I agree with the others about the lack of power of the 5.56. My next rifle is going to be a 6.8 SPC either a Barrett REC7 or something from LWRC.
 
My only AR-15, an Olympic Arms (flame suit on). I catch a lot of crap about the Oly but it has ran flawless for me. Oh yeah and my first Busse, an ASH-1.

Seems to me, after poking in on some AR forums, that some of the AR crowd has Kool-Aid fever when it comes to certain makers of both guns and accessories. Nothing wrong with that, but I don't think it's right to snub another man's gear to elevate a sense of your own.

Same goes for Busses. I like them of course, but I'm not going to disrespect someone else's choices in knives if they're not Busses.

Umm did I miss something? Whats wrong with Olympic Arms? I've seen lots of their products around and have never heard anything bad about them.
I hope I'm not causing any trouble just curious as to why you think you need a flame suit.
