Something about the words "funny", "gun" and "accident" just, ah...best not to say what I'm thinking. Because for all of them, there are a whole lot more that aren't funny in the least.

I feel the monster within me.... Yearning to show its ugly face.... AND EAT COOKIES!

No, it's hard to be a snob about silver-plated utensils.

Gimme a break and let me enjoy my score... this is about as close to sophisticated and elegant as I'm ever likely to get. :D

In other news, I stumbled across an old rusty drawknife yesterday. I'm torn between restoring it and just leaving it alone.

Probably going to pulled into the princapals office next week, we had a project in one of my classes where we had $10000 to spend and we had to make a list if what we bought and transfer it to excel. Well over half of what I put down were firearms and the other half were knives :D

Benjamin Trail NP (Nitro Piston) .22 air rifle is ready for pickup....now, if it would just stop snowing for a damn minute! In other news, I think I've officially crossed into pack whore territory. Found a Rush 24 at the brand new Cabela's in Berlin, MA yesterday - in the bargain cave. Slightly used, but I asked them if they could do a little better than the $75 they were asking since the hip belt was missing. They took $10 bucks off. I really think this will be my last one, though.....it seems to be the perfect size for X-C outings and short family hikes. I'll have to resurrect the Pack Thread once I get some pics of that and the recently received Camelbak BFM. Then I should prolly sell some stuff. It's nice to visit pack whore land, but I don't want to live there.

I'm not seeing a problem there

I just saw that there are now Oreo double-stuff cookies with real Reese's peanut butter filling instead of the white stuff! nomnomnom

I have a couple bradford pear trees in the yard I want cut down, and I'm not equipped or trained to do it properly myself. The lowest quote I've gotten so far is $450 minimum each to bring them down, not including grinding the stumps or hauling the wood away, and Ang won't let me blow them up/burn them down.

Sooo... if any of you cats wanna come over with your favorite knives/axes/chainsaws etc, and take a whack at them... I'll make you sign a liability waiver, but you can have all the free firewood you can carry away... BYOB. :p

Voted again!

A knife maker saying he is not equipped to cut down a tree??? I have heard it all :p

:D

Those oreos sound delicious though... So chew a couple up for me LMAO

Voted

It's not the cutting that disturbs me (other than being basically lazy and not wanting to do that much actual physical work), it's the whole limbs falling on my head thing.... it's in a pretty awkward spot and way way taller than any ladder I have.

Yeah, I told Angie about them and we both see a carb cheat day in the near future. If you like, I could make a review video describing how amazing they are, to torture you... :p

Be careful using the computer after. I heard laser vision can seriously damage LCD monitors. Plus now, giving someone "the look" might land you in jail for arson.

:D unfortunately I didn't turn into the Xman Cyclops.

So, at the doctor's office for a follow up, BP today is 128/85. Still high-ish but a LOT better!

Good luck TBL!

Congrats on the stable lower bp! Everything went great for me as far as surgery and recover is going good.

Why, hello there, Mr. Blue Heron.

I didn't know KFC was doing live deliveries again :D

laser vision? nice seeing you :D

Its better seeing me now ;) no glasses in the way!

shit. that was a sharp chisel i glanced a finger upon.

well, getting cut by the very sharp is oddly worth it.

15 minutes of direct pressure and you can't hardly tell.

Did the same thing with my 11 yesterday. Cuts with atom splitting sharp objects heal nice and quick :D

That bottle of Crown is teasing me.

Had to go back into the office today to be seen, have more than the usual amount of swelling for day 4 post op and thought it was infected.... Turns out its not infected... But one of the stitches in the top row ripped out and that caused the extra irritation. Fun fun.

There is a big bottle up here for you ;) you just need to come and get it yourself.

Sorry to hear about yo mouf, maybe if you come get this crown it will sterilize it for you ;)

Me too, I appreciate the reminders as well.

Well Thorny, if you are considering the laser eye surgery I completely recommend it. Its 24 hours after my surgery (they say that complete recovery and reduction of swelling takes 3days - 6 weeks) but I already have no more blury eyes. My vision was tested this morning at 20/20 and I have been cleared to drive without glasses. Not going to lie, the recovery afterwards SUCKS. They give you a sedative in order to help you sleep through it, but I'm pretty resistant to most of that stuff.. and I couldn't sleep through it. It feels like somebody just took a lighter to your eye and is then stabbing you repeatedly in the eye with an ice pick for about 5 hours after the anesthetic wares off. I could barely keep my eyes open long enough to take the drops I needed to. I had my wife put on my favorite Iron Maiden concert and give me my 7.1 surround sound headphones so I could rock through the pain. I had the surgery completed at around 2:30pm by 7pm I could open my eyes again. This morning its line nothing ever happened, except I have perfect vision. The after care procedures are pretty easy, its just 3 different kinds of eye drops in intervals through out the day. You need to wear sunglasses for 4 days while awake, and wear eye patches at night for 4 nights. No swimming / hot tubing, sports, or any activity which may get debris in the eye for 1 week. No screens of any kind for 24 hours, then you go by the 10x10 rule for the next 3 days (for every 10 min of use you have to look away for 10sec). I just close my eyes for 10 sec and keep typing :D I can't wait to get out to the range and test these new babies out ;)

Glad your surgery came out well, Tim. Too bad it didn't fix yer speling...

Thanks Mike! Hah! I see what you did there! and its true, my spelling sucks. I'll be the first to admit god did not bless me with the ability to retain the knowledge of how to form words with letters. However, I did get blessed in other areas of my life ;)

Passed the test for the TSA and I'm on to the next round in the process.

Congrats! good luck on the next round!
