Hey woody, how's your face? I just got my reservation for the hotel for blade, I thought I did before but I forgotted... So now I'm at the Windgate which is only about an extra 400 feet than the Starwoods I was hoping to get into.

What else do y'all raise/grow? Clearly you live on a farm or homestead or something like that, and all that stuff fascinates me.
 
I am actually planning on having lamb for lunch... I don't think it will be Chuck. Sorry about the loss of your lamb Nos.
 
:D I have a few snarky comments but Im feeling a little nice today.

The difference between the 560 and 562 is handle thickness, weight distribution, and grind. Everything else is pretty much the same. I personally disliked the way the 560 felt in the hand, just didn't jive with me. I love my 562.

If you like the 562 but not the price tag, the 0801 is nice. I have yet to get my hands on any of the 2015 ZT's but people seem to like em.

I need to figure something out for a sheath solution for my 0121. I've been wearing it cross draw but the stock sheath is too thick and its uncomfortable. The stock attachment sits too high and is uncomfortable. I've tried to use a metal ring for a dangler but the handle is too heavy and it keeps flopping. Ill have time this afternoon to think on it a bit.
 
Got one of those for a friend when we were in college. Really evens the game out because the winner tends to get drunk pretty fast. We mixed that with speed chess once; that was a bad idea. I'm a light weight too; comes of being Asian and having negligible dehydrogenase.

Got a fuller hand-ground into my katana-like object yesterday. I'm raring to get it heat treated, but need to get more done so I can have a batch going, really, or it's kinda a waste. Creative juices are running kinda low too. I have some harpoon fighters planned, but that's about it. Anyone want anything made out of 3V?

Also, in other news, signed the lease for our new house yesterday, and driving down to San Antonio next Thursday/Friday to pick up keys and start moving stuff.

Thanks JT. We mostly raise sheep and cattle, we have a couple of donkeys, three goats, and some chickens too, though. My grandparents grow a little garden in the summer too.

If you want, I can get a bunch of pictures of everything to show you.

I am pleased with the way the griddle came out. I went with square as opposed to round. Put a "backstop" on it and made two sizes of legs. I fashioned it so it can be used with our Coleman propane stove, white gas stove, Smoky Joe charcoal grill, camp fire or outdoor kitchen we built. Just have to screw on different length legs or remove them altogether. It's like having a Benihana in camp. :D


Recipes are welcome.
Pics forthcoming, I'm seasoning it.
