The Snark Abides

I got a box of steel from him Monday. He sent me a text yesterday or the day before.

Heading to the cabin in a few for a needed get away, and for Easter. Been a month and a half since we've been there.

I don't think I would have let that BK77 sit on the table for $80.... IF that's what it was.

Either way, I just went to look, so it's not like I'm out of anything. Also saw a custom made of meteorite with handles made of Stonewall Jackson's prayer tree, a leather spacer made from a messenger bag from the war between the states, and bolsters made out of mammoth tooth.

I'l bet you could pay him for gas, and then a little. 80 is crazy. Is it an actual 77 or just a stripped 7?

Don't have enough cash to get it anyway. It was a 77, had the micarta scales and all. Shoulda posted asking if anyone wanted it, but didn't have anything but my mom's phone and she was using it the whole time.

Smart move then.

I don't imagine the guy's gonna sell it anyway, but he also had Cam BK10's and a few other Cam Beckers. It was cool to look at, but most of his Ka-Bar Beckers were stripped and had a terrible polishing job.

First time at the ronday-voo, eh? Was it right next to the booth selling tinder scraped from THE original cross that Jesus died on, or the cat peddling unicorn-horn powder love potions? That's cute. :D

Now... I'm not saying that any goofus selling knives "made of meteorites" with handles made from the ancestral tree that grew next to an historic figure's house is completely full of baloney... oh, wait. Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying.

I am certainly NOT Obi-Wan, but HF should do the trick, or the Ryobi 6" at the Despot....Then again, there's always the old standby Naval Jelly. Works great, easy to use....and less hell on the breathing sacs than iron oxide dust spraying off a wire wheel.

Alright, it'll be a few days though.

Just got out of the knife show. Saw a Cincinati made Machax and a BK77. Got to hold an 0561 and an 0566. Like the 0561 but not sure. The 0900 is awesome for a little knife.

i'm sure there's nearby Head's that want to know exact GPS coords ;)

Probably right, but either way the guy had my dad enamored. He wanted 1k for it and my mom nearly bought it for an anniversary present.

Just look up Harrisonburg Knife Show, go get 'em boys. No gaurantee it was 80 though, that may have been the BK10, I didn't pay attention.
