Getting in sometime Thursday. Staying till Monday. I'll be in the Extended Stay (basically around the corner).Spring has finally arrived. Temps are seasonal (24 C or about 75 F) and perfect for enjoying drinks at a bar's outdoor patio, which we did.
Things are also a bit slower now that our mayor is in rehab...
Would have gone climbing, but the Black Fly season is in full force. Will have to wait a few weeks.
Looking forward to seeing you at Blade. When are you getting there?
Where ya'll staying at? I talked to E today and he says he is staying at the Sheraton.Actually we do. PM me.
Photos of the forge?Drove to Chattanooga to pick up the forge (had lunch at Sugar's Ribs. Damn.) and back home (only 10 hrs.). Already fired it up, pounded some steel and had three Yuenglings. Daddy's happy.![]()

That sucks man! Sorry to hear that. I understand though, that happened to me a few weeks ago (probably 8-10 now... wow that's a while ago) ended up just fishing for the day and going home. What was the place you were supposed to stay at? I usually stay at a state camp ground so it's only $7 a day for a tent $3 for a hammock. So the camping trip was a bust.
Its suppose to be less than a 2 hour drive.... It took us 4 hours to get there because TomTom stopped working and we were trying out a new spot we have not been to yet... We also got pulled over on the way and the wife got her 2nd ticket... EVER. I have had more than that at one time LOL...... But that helped spoil the mood for her.
We finally make it to the spot and start unloading and we get hit with a storm... According to the weather man all the rain was suppose to already passed the area.. We waited an hour or so and the rain wasnt letting up... But the sun was going down..
At this point its getting dark, any firewood is wet, its still raining, and we have yet to pitch the tent and setup..... So we called it quits and came home.... If it was just me and the wife we would have stayed. But we didnt want the kids getting sick from being in the rain, wet clothes, wet tent, little fire and such.
Sucked. We prepaid from Saturday to Monday.... We stayed an hour or so. That's life i guess.

I remember some of those stories... Especially Moose running back up the mountain damn near pissing himself!Hey WW,
Sorry to hear about your trip. We've had a few similar trips over the years. In fact, a few years ago we drove 11 hours to get to a campground that had been flooded and we to set our tent in the mud. That's when we decided to get our Roof Top Tent (RTT). Kinda sucked at the time, but it made for a good story later...

Sam Adams Cherry Wheat is quite nice
I hafta admit, me too sometimes. Having a Rebel IPA right now. inner hophead very happy.....CBear don't be offended, but I'm deeply in love with Sam Adams.
yeah. quit it out!You crossed the line.
I have had a couple of good Sam Adams beers. I got to try the Utopias one and yeah... That one gets an "Oh My DAMN!" But the usual run of the mill Sam Adams I have never been that impressed with.CBear don't be offended, but I'm deeply in love with Sam Adams.
We weren't talking about the fruity stuff you drink when you share your cot on the mountain! The men are talking!Sam Adams Cherry Wheat is quite nice
If you find the other two, can you send one of them to the Blackhawks please... They are playing like absolute garbage!Who steals garbage cans?!?
We just picked up 3 new garbage cans last week to replace our old cracked ones, and I get home Friday after work and notice one was missing. I had even paracorded the lid to the garbage can stand so the wind wouldn't blow them away, and they cut it and took a can and lid. Kinda pissed off yesterday, but today I took out the garbage and the somebitch came back last night for another one!! Friggin garbage man hasn't even touched it yet and already two are missing. Yeah they're only like $14 a piece, but it's MY $14! Now I've got one can left, which I'm now marking up all around it "Stolen from..." and my address, with a sharpie.
I'll be walking the neighborhood back alleys for sure for the next few weeks, and I swear if I find them, those people will have their garbage bags cut and their garbage thrown in their backyard...and maybe I'll leave a deuce on their porch step... Currently trying to figure out some sort of alarm/warning system for my last one - maybe something with some paracord and an air horn? Hmmm...
