You haven't had candy beer till you've had VooDoo Doughnut.

Well, today starts with a 45 minute run. Then I'll be cutting grass for two hours, washing two cars, and then moving a bunch of equipment. After that, reading and research.

Some pics from yesterday's hike. No pics of BK&T knives so no thread of it's own, but figured you folks might like a look anyways.

For some reason of the 15 pics I uploaded (of the 120 I took) some decided not to work, so that is unfortunately all I can show. We found a really cool old bridge thing, on the other side of which was a waterfall, but it was too dense to get a good photo of it. Later today we are going to an area somewhat near this one that has an old "grist mill" (whatever that is). The boy, being an avid fisherman, caught between 6-8 bass.

Just got this pic of the grandkids with their camping smiles. (I really like my daughter's little trailer deal, it weighs nothing and set's up fast.)

The oldest is a dandy fiddle player and the youngest is a soccer addict. They raise chickens and have four hives of bees. Good kids right there.

That's right, I'm doing the "look at my grandkids" thing. :D

A sigma? Seriously, what was he thinking.

That it was what he could afford.

Actually the Sigma is a decent gun and it's pretty easy to improve the trigger.

I have. kind of tastes like chocolate covered pretzels that get you drunk. Anything from Rouge Brewery is good stuff.

Nice pair! Glad to see you using the lanyard. I've finally remembered (after losing my grip on my Machax and nearly lopping off my arm) to put them on my own knives.

It's OK, trade. They're worth looking at, especially with the very cool ultralight trailer in the picture. Sadly, I'll probably be a senile old man by the time I have grandkids, unlike you, who is young and still has...most...of his faculties. Grandpaw.

That's awesome man. We have our grandson over right now. Great little guy. That tent camper thingy is awesome.

What kind of camper is that trade?

What does it look like all closed up?

Awesome pic of the grandkids.

Okay, took time out to shoot a couple of pics of the Chile forge. Damn, I like this thing. It was worth the drive.

Just turned it on here and it's still heating up.

My favorite thing is the efficiency. This is with one burner @ 4.0 psi.

This is just a temporary set up but I do like the rolling cart and might keep it that way. I can roll it up to the shop door and stay cooler.

dinner last night was mini-meatloaf.
2.5 pounds ground venison (90%V, 10% bacon for fat content), 1.5 cups rolled oats, 3 eggs, minced onion, thyme, grated garlic, homemade serrano paste, dried thyme from the garden.
mix everything together, let sit for 10 min so the oats soak up the liquid.
make 8 hand sized meatballs(not quite softball sized), wrap each one in 3 strips of bacon
put in deep 9 x 13 pan and bake at 375 for an hour. (until centers were between 155 and 160F)
one of my friends ate 3 of these...

That forge is cool tw. Well, hot actually, but cool.

One of my favorites.

I had a buddy that would call me out any time I did something not "manly". I would just remind him that I own 30 guns and two old trucks and he has a Sigma and a Ford Focus. That shut him up pretty quick.

I don't care if it is girly. Them fruity drinks is delicious.

I actually like Cherry Wheat. Nobody with a Focus can check anybody's man card.

Quite jealous, Trade.

A buddy and I were testing a little project of our own last night with some fire.... It was a success. So much so that we fried up some celebratory bacon.

Welcome back WW. Sorry bout your luck bro. I would do the same thing with my kids. Any tent/ little house would keep them occupied for hours. Hell, we're outside in the backyard right now. My son has been occupied with the hose for a good 40min lol.

Aiki, I would flaming bag the person that stole your cans should you find them.

Sweet looking camper / forge Trade!

Trade that li'l set up is awesome! You have more info on the trailer thing? That just might be a viable option to get my mom and pops out into the woods with me!

I'm a fan of Rouge Brewery, however I haven't tried that one.

So, what are you planning on making?

Also, how do you marinade/season your jerky? (What meat do you use too? I've tried sirloin and tri-tip and I think I like the sirloin better)

Yeah, I could eat one of those myself I think. sounds OH so yummy!

I've never had the cherry wheat to be fair. I'd try it but I haven't as of yet. And thank god I don't drive a fuckus!

You're fire is WAY too high! At least you didn't overcook the bacon! That would be sacrilegious!

That's a cool trailer setup, Trade. How are those grandkids liking it?

It's called a "SylvanSport GO". It's got storage on the trailer part when the tent is folded up. The kids got theirs used and got a pretty good deal on it. New, they are a little pricey. Very cool though and they love it.

Experiencing some forge envy over here.
