The stove was rolling, but the bacon was still quite good. We were more of less excited about the success of our stove project.

It's called a "SylvanSport GO". It's got storage on the trailer part when the tent is folded up. The kids got theirs used and got a pretty good deal on it. New, they are a little pricey. Very cool though and they love it.

That is very sweet, Like you said a bit pricey though. But looks pretty spacious.

If i had money like that id have the "Ultimate Big Woody Camper" I have dreams about that one.

... trying to figure out some sort of alarm/warning system for my last one - maybe something with some paracord and an air horn? Hmmm...

Murph can probably loan you a claymore or two. Should be able to hear that go off from a good distance.

You'll lose your can, but theif won't be back around either :D

If Murph has live claymores i should have known about this a long time ago LMAO

I know he has an M18 but im talking a different kind of M18 LOL

So, having a couple of friends over for supper. I'm making pork chops with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Just got the chops in the brine (a good 4-5 hour soak) in Apple juice with some fresh cranberries cracked open in it, some cracked pepper corns, an onion rough chopped, some garlic, some salt, some sugar, and some seltzer water. I wasn't going to use tonic cause I didn't want the quinine in it.

If you really feel like putting some effort into it... you could always sit the can on top of a live car air bag with a pressure sensor :D this way as soon as they go to remove the can *BOOM* it will launch the can into/ above anybody trying to steal from you. Instead of filling the can with garbage you can fill it with poo water. Everything within 20 yard radius will be covered. All you would need is a hose to clean up the mess :)

I had racoons / skunks a little while ago getting into our garbage cans. remington cee bee's through a duct-taped 2L pop bottle on my rifle sounded like fingers snapping at night :D

This was at our old house after I first set up my .22 :D

3PM and I'm beat... spent the day in the garden again. It's basically all in and good to go - for now. There'll be more stuff rotated in as we harvest...

Of course the whole point of all this work is to get fed... had a nice little salad for lunch today... 2 kinds of lettuce, spinach, sweet peas, onions radishes and strawberries (all organic of course). It don't get any fresher than this, baby! We don't have any maters yet so we had to add some from the store.

So, friend of mine on Facebook challenged the "hearies" to a lip reading challenge. The "deafies" that are taking it are scoring between 40/55 to 48/55. I took it and got a 44/55.

http://www.chums.co.uk/blog/?page_id=601 If ya'll wanna try it.

Scored this:

Well Done!

You scored 22 points out of 55.

Has anyone ever told you that you're pretty good at this? Your eye for detail has given you the ability to observe and understand words at the normal rate of speech – a very difficult skill indeed!

You are able to correctly lip read:

Enunciated syllables
Rhythm
Slow rate of speech
Greetings
Common phases
Common homophenes
Locations
Normal rate of speech
Names

I would have done much better if English was some of those people's first language. But you could tell they were speaking with accents.

Interesting lip reading tests.

first time I tried I got 28/55 in 5min. Second time I got 32/55 in 5min.

It IS a British site, so they would ALL have accents not particularly familiar to us :D But I do know what you're saying. It's tough!

A pic of the first ZT I have been excited about, and the first ZT I have ever wanted to actually buy.

ZT0562 with Rick's "Slicer" blade.

My suggestion for you sir.... is to forget all about ZT's. In my experience they are just as addictive as Becker knives and cost 3-5x as much.

But now that you've thrown it out there..... I also want one (or two) and a 0620 for an offhand:rolleyes:

I sort of disagree with you. I agree they can be addictive like Beckers and are not cost worthy. But the ZT's have been out for a few years and this is the only one I've ever wanted to buy. I don't think I'll need any of the ones made before/different than the 0562, because if I did, I'd already have them. So, I'm safe...for sure. Besides, my 24 is my everyday, and will remain so....no matter what.

Yaay... Looks like ill be getting my Teton Oasis1100 pack next Thursday instead of mid June. :D

Ill probably end up carrying it everywhere for a while. Im thinking ill put a little survival kit with the Sawyer mini filter and a little EDC gear in there.

I have been using the condor 3 day assault pack for what feels like ever now, and granted IMO its an excellent pack for the price, but its just so BIG.

This will, hopefully, be great on day fishing or hiking trips.

The next two on my list are a 24 and a ZT 0560.

I need to sell of one more of my old Chinese folders and I'll have enough for the 24. Then comes the fun project of making a set of low profile dark wood scales and a pocket sheath.

I'm hoping with the release of the 0562 that many 0560's flood the market and I can score one for my birthday :D

I thought that looked familiar. I remember posting a video clip about it some time ago, and you said your daughter had one.

I have a couple ZT's, didn't pay full price for either and I don't think I ever would. Great knives but I can't bring myself to spend $150 on a knife. Kershawguy.com has ZT0350 blems for $85 and some other good deals too.

I paid under $150 for each of the ones I own. I also agree that my personal spending price for a production knife is $200 or less. If I am getting custom or hand made that is a completely different animal. Thank god for people with money that buy for full price then list knives that haven't even been sharpened on the exchange!
