So this happened to me last night, hit a bump on my way back from the grocery store.
And now I'm online looking up derailleur hangers and there are so many that fit my model.

I want to punch something.

That sucks. Last week I snapped two chains and a tooth off my sprocket. One chain was maybe three months old. I went home and found out that 3 links were cracked. I was mad so i threw it into the trash:rolleyes:. The second chain I got way back in 2010 and have been riding it ever since. I must have not pushed a pin in far enough, and ripped half of the link off, sending my knee into my stem.

We get free wash coupons (how or why, I don't know) so the cars usually get washed 1-2 times a month.

I tried to get my truck washed today. It's been neglected for a year. the mechanized side of the carwash was closed...

I want the full undercarriage treatment, so I'll have to try again.

I like the full undercarriage treatment too....... wait what were we talking about again ?

Pfft. There was a time that one of these threads would be done in less than a week!! It was known as the great Clichening.
Could you imagine the implosion of the internet that would happen if Flexxx, Clich, and WW were in the Snark thread all at once... Oh good lord!

I actually got under the car on Sunday, I did an oil change on my car. Then I also did an oil and brakes change on a female's car that needed it! Felt good to get under there and do some work! However I noticed how BAD it looked under there!

thank you. I was going to be very disappointed if nobody accepted my tee-ball invitation.

In tonight's episode of "Cooking with Teh Jarebear" We make French Toast! Start by making bacon (I did 5 slices, you may not follow suit but if you're smart...) While bacon is cooking mix 2 eggs, with a medium-heavy pour of french vanilla creamer, a medium heavy pour of milk, and a dash(and a half if you're like me) of bourbon. Mix well in a bowl. Your preference of bread may vary but I used a day old challah bread sliced thick (Inch and a quarter) soaked until the bacon is done. Remove bacon from the pan, and then add the challah bread to the pan on a medium low heat till cooked through on the first side. Flip and cook through on the second. When done remove the bread from pan stack on the plate and dust with powdered sugar.

I made ham and potatoes.

I would dig for it so you don't risk injury bud.

I'm also not a fan of horror movies.

Crappy about your bike dynamic.

Only god knows how things are going to turn out G. The main thing is that you helped to the best of your abilities and you gave her a chance at life. Without you doing what you did she would of died.

If it's a replaceable hanger, then there should only be one (or possibly two) that fit that model year frame. I'd make sure you haven't bent up the rear derailleur, whole thing might need replacing....usually the hangers only break when they're torqued up, by a stick or a jammed chain (which can be caused by a bent derailleur cage). And grain of salt from a former bike wrench, but how many miles on that drive train? Can't tell accurately, but it looks like there is a lot of drivetrain/chain wear, which if left unattended might cause similar damage. I'm all for DIY, but make sure you're addressing the the reason why that thing snapped in the first place. At least have a shop (or friend) check the chain wear (or DIY with a caliper); chains stretch and if not replaced will permanently damage all the other drivetrain components. Good luck!

Forget that chain part, yours looks like it's already toast, twisted at the jockey wheel.

Yeah, the chain is all kinds of messed up. Took it into A1 just to check it out, doesn't look to be too expensive, and theyll order the parts for me and all. They're agreeing it's just the hanger. Looks like it'll be done on Thursday or so.

Thanks all.

hey all.. i just listed a gaw to win a Cam BK11 if interested. page 21? damn.. the snark sure does move fast...

I made ham and potatoes.

I'm planning on making beef jerky on Thursday for a road trip on Friday.

Also watching the Hawks game on one tv, watching the Cubs game on the computer, and my mom is watching Jane Eyre on the other TV all in the same room... I LOVE OVERLOADS!

I saw that, I already have one (actually have it on right now!) so I won't be entering but that is a hell of a giveaway man! I love my Saber-11 its my favorite of the 11s to be honest. Although to be fair, I also took that thing to as low as the sharpener will go and reprofiled it to there.
