Grass mowed, hedges trimmed, cleaning the hot tub, all while watching the kids. Man I'm tired now.

Dropped my hard drive off to a friend so he can put some movies on it for me. Hopefully tonight will be a good night.

Cut yourself some slack, Tom. No one got hurt. And that idiot harassing you was not doing it as a public service, I'm sure.

the old joke is that the number goes right to the driver, who answer "why yes ma'am, i understand ma'am. say, are you driving in that little shitty blue car? just a sec..."

Some of my former training helps me in keeping my calm no matter what the situation. On 3 occasions I have lost it and on 2 of those ended up with a broken hand. I got some pretty bad arthritis in my right hand and it clicks every time I make a fist. That serves me as a constant reminder of what happens when I lose my cool and helps to keep me in check.

It's true... you cant fix stupid but you can walk away from it.

i've heard a few stories of off duty officers, with their gun on the seat next to them, have someone come over and chew them out, only to see the gun, and kinda get all nervous, and then just walk away; the smart ones see the gun first, and don't even start. now, i wonder why that is?

a few asshats try to start something WITH a gun; very rare, but you see them on the news, usually in the body bag. the police have to clean up those kinds of people.

another buddy of mine was famous for putting a KaBar on his dash before sleeping in the rest stops. he knows more than a few people see that and just step away. except once, he wakes to hear "TAP TAP TAP" of a cop banging his flashlight on the glass "HEY! WHY DO YOU HAVE THAT KNIFE?" -- "IN CASE SOMEONE TRIES TO BREAK THE GLASS AND GET ME FOR SLEEPING". cop walks away. lol.
 
Todd and I are headed back to IN from Ethan's. I had an absolute blast! How was it hanging out in the snark thread all weekend?
 
Textured and painted the bathroom this weekend..

Hot tub is at 90 degrees. Will be nice and hot by the time the kids go to bed. Wewt.

we had a mega knife give-a-way, everyone won!

and i'm painting an old loom, and bought another one, yar, trailer for the win...

and some yard-work, and need to take the cover off the pool, and get chemicals. maybe a June 1st start to a cold season.

the real fun is getting the plumbing working again ;)

mmm, i wonder how much a solar cover is? :D

and more! day is not done yet. got some wood to sand and poly. never ends.

Yep very true!


I normally sit in the hot tub with the temp between 98-100 degrees. Slightly higher then body temp and I ASLWAYS have multiple bottles of water as well as some adult beverages handy. On occasion I have even lit up a fine cigar to accompany my drinks and relaxation.

Tonight nothing lol. I'm all out. The last few that I had were from Cuba. A friend brought back a box and handed me 3. No idea what brand or who rolled them, but they were mellow and smooth.

Actually you reminded me, I may have some Colts in the garage. Black Cherry or Wine Dipped. I will have to investigate upon hot tub time!

Using Linux all around on my end.
The server that holds the directory of my images (and hosts my domain) is flaky, and I've punted on re-homing it for historical and inertial reasons. It's getting time to fix it, though.
