Just got a good object lesson on measuring. Bought a new curtain rod, thinking hey, this should be one size fits all, right? Wrong. I'm about a foot short. Looks like I need a 5 or 6 foot long one.
 
It's official. My Hypocrisy knows no bounds.

After the last two years of being very vocal about not liking folders. I have found two I actually like and will be getting as soon as possible. One is the ZT0562CF and the other is the Spyderco Tenacious (although I'm really liking the Sage 2 as well). I can't help it. I spent the last two days flipping a KA-BAR Warthog Folder and something happened. I started looking for folders again. Geez I feel like I'm Batting for the Yankees, but I no longer care. I love knives!!

i just realized that Blade Show is 18 days from now.

that's the same weekend as the first Friday of my new job start (unless i can move that date closer, not farther out).

also airfare is runnign $450 round trip (but a direct flight)...

erm. erm. erm...

mmm. sheet.
 
oh damn....
flights to Atlanta from Ft. Lauderdale are $178 round-trip and less than 2 hrs...
I could come for the DAY.
 
I would just like to say, the folks at Centrolutions for the LASR software are standup folks. I haven't had customer service this good since I bought my last Ka-bar. Oh wait, no. I lied. My Ka-bars and Beckers have been so good I have never NEEDED customer service from them. But still. Props.

The ZT560 (in basic black) is my EDC. Hell of a knife, for a folder ;). I took my substantial (but not huge) folder collection up to the cabin last weekend for everyone to check out. The HK Scorch dual action, scale release auto was a surprise hit.
I had to stop buying folders, though. They're like peanut m&m's - they take up so little space that before you know it, you have a lot more than you should.
The bearing pivot system on that ZT....just begs to be flipped. Annoyingly so.

Damn you!!! I didn't know about the 0562 until now! It looks like it is going to be the perfect size for what I like too. I have a Sage 1 and really like it. Its a bit smaller than what I normally like, but still performs very well.

I had a NIB tenacious in my bag o' trade goods at the gathering...
 
The Tenacious is one of my favorite starter knives. Really cuts well, but when you handle one of their upper tier knives, it's a whole different experience.
 
Yup, I have the Stag Arms Manix 2 still. Of course, I prefer my HTM Gunhammers (when you can get a good one), and carry one of those around on a regular basis. But Spydies sure can cut.
