I'm not a fan of KK either. Safeway has better dougnuts if you can't find a local shop. If any of you commie bastards are ever in Pendleton, Oregon (I can't imagine why you would be unless you're super into rodeos) then swing by Up With Doughnuts. Place has been there longer than I can remember and it will make you want to burn down KK.

You two are dead to me...
How can you not like Krispy Kreme's?...

You probably eat turkey bacon exclusively! Wierd-O's! :D

I can't handle 'em either. They're basically refined sugar puffs, and I can't handle anything that sweet anymore.

never been much of a doughnut guy myself but i do like D&D coffee. My Grandma is in a home now and every time I visit I have been bringing her a Boston Creme. my daughter likes munchkins.

Gracious alive. Communists everywhere.

you had best sound off that you love krispy kreme private or I will take a giant dump on you lol!!j/k

That's the best laugh I've had so far today.

Going to google translate now...
Timmy Ho's is a Canadian chain of donut shops named Tim Horton's (they heard a hoo). Which I prefer over Krispy Kreme, although I prefer Dunkin Donuts to Tim Horton's.

That's cool about the binos. Yeah for my purposes a tent is just not worth the hassle. It's either so small that it's a pain to get in and out of (and I can't change in it) or it's so big that it's not worth the hassle of setting up unless I'm gonna be there a week. And I don't know anyone with the stones to go camping for a solid week, or at least they have a family and it's just not feasible for them. I'm not looking forward to whatever setup I'll have to resort to if I ever get married and have kids.

Bahhh... I have been out camping for a week or more plenty of times, stones and all...

Doc

Also not a fan of KK. I prefer Lamar's. I mean, they're okay. But I just don't get the hype. They're really not that good.

Donuts are like pizza. They are all good, some are just better than others.

Friggin' Commies.:D

Obviously you've never had a fresh Lamar's, or you wouldn't think that Krispy Kreme is good. I've had fresh Krispy Kreme's before. I've been the very first person to get them in the morning. But I've had better doughnuts at probably 15 different places. Heck, I've even occasionally had grocery store doughnuts that were better than Krispy Kreme. Not on a regular basis, I grant you, but I don't see the hype.

-edit- I guess most of the places we're saying have better doughnuts are smaller chains or local places. Excepting Dunkin Donuts, which I don't agree with. So, I suppose that, as far as big national chain doughnuts go, they're pretty darn good. But, that's like saying that Budweiser is pretty good if we only compare it to big brand-name beers, and pretend that the numerous better beers made by smaller places or microbrews don't exist or don't count. Or that Safeway select bacon or something is the best ever, in context of a comparison between grocery store bacons, and that therefore something like Benton's doesn't count. And that's just silly talk.

As Ethan Becker says, "There's no accounting for taste." Also, the social fabric of America is in trouble.
